Ready Player One this year definitely had a BTTF reference and I understand Robert Zemeckis new movie Welcome to Marwen has a back to the future reference as well. He did go on to say that it will be the closest thing to seeing a back to the future 4th film. Even though Zemeckis has said constantly that their will never be a new Back to the future ever as long as he’s alive and Bob Gale too....could all of this talk of back to the future references being in other movies....a reunion at a Hollywood event. And a poll saying 71% Americans would like a new back to the future could lead to Universal bringing back a BTTF future attraction at a fourth gate?I’m saying saying Back to the future seems to be back in the Hollywood spotlight even though another film will never be made. People are still talking about like the popularity is still their.

No. It’s a popular movie from the 80s so make sense why a movie based on 80s nostalgia like RPO has references.
