BBC and Disney will be co-distributing a Bluey movie for 2027! It seems this is what Joe Brumm has been working on.

The film seems to be an expansion on toying with the idea of a longer format story, which in this case will be using CG properly for the sake of the animation.

The parent in me is very excited.

Genuinely wonder when we get to it how the turnout will be for parents with children (and those who just watch the show period regardless). I can easily see this being a big smash dunk.

FWIW, I read on the Bluey Reddit page someone speculated that with Joe Brumm stepping away from the show to work on the movie that perhaps Disney might be eyeing buying the Bluey IP.

Would you really put it past them (Disney) at this point?

I'm sure they want it...I hope not because they already pulled episodes

Disney doesn't need any more IPs so I hope the creator doesn't sell but sadly they normally do at some point and yet to see many companies happy later like Marvel or Star Wars (not talking MCU more the fact they had to sell IPs to movies and most sucked up until the MCU with a few exceptions)
