I think this is mostly aimed at the uninitiated i.e. the people who wouldn't know what TP is.

I see this as having two connected purposes:

1) Ensuring less informed guests have a satisfactory visit despite WDW's complicated reservation systems
2) Using the wealth of data from MyMagic+ to suggest itineraries that optimize guest flows within the parks to maximize efficiency of existing rides

We talked about it a little bit on our Slack, but honestly I don’t think TP has anything to worry at this point. From what I’ve heard this is less the end product being about offering in depth planning and crowd avoiding plans and more about selling additional FP+s.

It seems to have an air of marketing (I know duh) in the release too. I imagine that they will make suggestions that will encourage upcharge moments (Bippity Boppity) in there too.
