Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster (USF) - Opening 2027

Driving past the storage area on Destination Pkwy this afternoon I spotted the first piece of “major” (non-flat station/storage) track with the large tubular spine, and interestingly it is the same light grey color as the rest of the track pieces. If someone happens to drive by, it’s easily seen from the road, I just couldn’t snap a picture since I was in a hurry.

Seems likely based on the placement of that support but cant get exact sense for where it is in the photo

When I first looked at it, my eyes deceived me. It looked like it was just going in a circle. I thought, "Boy, this one is shorter than the Werewolf coaster." Finally, my old eyes picked out the details.

This might be the most confusing station area I've ever seen on a roller coaster. It looks like it goes right out of the station towards the maintenance bay? But then it looks like there's another switch track right after that. Plus there's the two side by side tracks that I'm pretty sure are the holding blocks for the station, but I'm not sure how this coaster will end to get to that point. And where is the queue and entrance going to be? It looks like the firehouse will be the exit.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift's spike is seemingly going to be a twisted spike of some kind. For comparison, Pantheon has a simlar end-cap for the sake the spike of that attraction.



This will make two coasters that Universal Destinations & Experiences seem to be having the spike be twisted in some way. Hollywood Drift for Orlando, and as seemingly identified with the blue sky conceptual artwork for Universal Great Britain's potential BTTF coaster.

Current working theory with myself and @Scott W. Is train turns right out of station into a dead end and then some form of backward launch. But there maybe something interesting about that. Also not expecting s big standard spike, apart from the twisted track, actually beginning to wonder it it will wrap around the tower or something

Just reading through that thread, it just seems to me it makes more sense to have the spike at the beginning and use it's momentum to run the rest of the course. Any chance that long middle section the tracks are crossed or is that pretty much it? I ask because it seems like having the charger leave the station first, the train turns towards the maintenance bay then the cars turn around(I'm not sold on a fast reverse launch just from a safety perspective). It launches to the spike, they reverse, then the charger leads the rest of the way. As presented, the charger will trail the whole ride until the spike at the end of the ride. Just seems off to me.
