It really is interesting to see so many mixed opinions on the (rumored) IP lineup, with quite a few saying this doesn't seem like a good year with lackluster IP, meanwhile for me at least, this is by far the most excited I've ever been. Never thought I'd say my top 3 most anticipated houses are IPs (assuming they're coming of course).

It's been mentioned before - and of course there are exceptions. But most of the kids that grew up with FNAF are in their 20s now.

It doesn't feel like it, but FNAF has existed for over a decade.

Right, this is what gets me the most. People are acting like this franchise is Baby Shark or Cocomelon.

Stranger Things released in 2016 and came to HHN in 2019, meaning someone who was ten at the time (and that's relatively young to be watching that show) was only thirteen when the first HHN rolled around. FNAF 3 was released in 2015 (let alone FNAF 1 in 2014), which means that same ten year old would now be 20. These two things aren't even remotely in the same ballpark. Is the demographic younger? Absolutely. Does that mean we should resent it? Nope.

I also just find it weird to look down on teenagers as if most of the people here didn't sneak out to watch horror movies at a friend's house or on their parent's VCR. (Yeah, dating myself a bit.)

Exactly! Especially since Stranger Things first came to the event in 2018 lol

If someone was 10 years old when the first FNAF came out, they'll be able to buy a sugary premixed alcoholic drink before getting in line for the house this year!

Fear Factor. Spider-Man comics. The Brendan Frasier/Rachel Wiesz Mummy. Penn & Teller. Ghostbusters (which I still argue was more adult but 13 y.o. me saw 3x in the theater). Cirque du Freak. Killer Klownz. Literal fairy tales.

This IP not my first choice, but no worse or "less horror" than any of the above.

As the FNAF obsessed poster on this forum I feel I am obligated in some way to shed some light on this franchise.
The games themselves while not always “Terrifying” contain a very dark lore and story.

I could make you guys watch hours upon hours of lore videos and theory’s but if I was most of you that would not sound appealing at all.
I want to try and cover the base understanding of the franchise without driving you guys insane. Let’s go a layer deeper, but not too deep. But I’ll save this post until we have some more information to see how much I need to simplify.

The first question I am gonna ask (maybe insiders will answer this for me) is what will this house cover? The first film obviously is a given, but will they dabble in some elements from the sequel? Will we get some cameo characters from the games? (Think GB 2019 when your inside the trap with the cameo ghosts from the sequel and game)
I can’t predict at this point if they will do anything like this, so I’ll just assume that only the first film and elements from the first game will be present in the house.

Locations:
- Facade will be Freddy’s and should be the same as the film. What a sight it will be I tell you.

-I think it’s safe to assume we will see the main stage, back room with the Fazbear Saw Trap looking thing, atleast one hall leading to the security office, and pirate cove. I wanna say that they probably won’t adapt any locations from outside the pizzeria (ex. Mike’s house, woods, the mall, etc).

-I really wanna know if this is going to be more FNAF 1 coded or not, that is the question I think that needs to be answered before we get speculative on what might else will appear.

- Oh and maybe throw in a teaser for the second movie. Very on brand for HHN to do that at this point.

Something I will also say. I expect puppets and effects before I see a ton of animatronics or anything. Even the film only had a few animatronics on set. The rest was mostly puppetry and actors in suits.

I would expect the house to largely adapt the first film, and that may include using the woods as a transition scene or two (as there are only so many rooms in the pizzeria). I wouldn't be shocked if they include some characters or settings from the second Blumhouse film (like how the 2017 Saw maze featured a sequence from the yet-to-be-released Jigsaw) and potentially a cameo or two from the games. As you pointed out, the Ghostbusters houses are a good comp there.

At the end of the day, it's worth keeping mind who gets the final say - Scott Cawthorne, Universal Pictures, and the Blumhouse team.

I just can't believe there's people trying to downplay FNAF's horror aspects. The reason it became famous in the first place was because of its jump scares!

That it subsequently caught on with kids feels irrelevant.

Scott Cawthon is basically the JK Rowling of FNAF, so I think he'll get final say on everything they do.

This is exactly it. It wasn't made as a "game for kids" - it was explicitly made as a horror video game. Kids latched onto it LATER, but it is absolutely not made for them.
