Just returned from a 3 day stay at the resort and wanted to pass on some information. If anyone purchased the old Meal Deal plans last year, before they were discontinued, under the stated rule that they will be honored until the end of 2014, they will NOT be.
I redeemed my ticket for a meal card, went to Guest Relations to get the band and was told they do not have the plan anymore. I explained that I knew the plan was discontinued, but any purchased previous were to be honored, per the website. The host was polite, but said all he could do was turn the ticket into a Dining Plan.
In the end, I had a choice between reimbursement or the Dining Plan. They do give you the 40.99 plan, which includes a sit down meal, but they will not let you eat all day, even with a valid Meal Deal pass.
