lol

I mean thats part of my issue.....like I think we all agree what he was doing was good but the director wanted to show the "dark" side to catching pedophiles

After the Epstein list feels strange for Hollywood to make a movie that once again didn't reach out to Chris who is alive but wanted to make this movie with a tone of.....this guys are bad but also was it right to do this?
(without seeing the movies yes....catch all these sickos and put them in jail forever)

They did reach out to Chris. They invited him to view it in advance and he refused to sign the NDA/embargo.

They’re not explicitly saying CHRIS is bad. They’re saying he’s dangerously one-tracked and that the production was dangerously produced. Considering the truth that does exist in the film (specifically, the climax), it’s not impossible to see how that’s inaccurate.

Wasn't that to a showtime for the movie, not to talk to the writer before the film? Also I would not sign an NDA about a movie about my life

1790793311377.png

The guy at the end had power and was a public figure, he took the cowards way out for being sick. Like these people know what they are doing and some even admit its not the first time and don't mind how ever we have to lock up these sick people.
If you are sick enough to fall for these chats and come over, then you get what you get, no one should be trying to touch kids. Like they don't lead these guys on the guys want the kids and bring the sick stuff up from what I've seen of old episodes

The climax (and the larger film) is based on this Esquire article:
www.esquire.com

Tonight on Dateline This Man Will Die

NBC's 'To Catch a Predator' arrived in Murphy, Texas, to conduct a sting operation. The only honest thing that followed was the gunshot.
www.esquire.com www.esquire.com

While the show absolutely pilloried people, but the methods Perverted-Justice (and thus, the program at large used) resulted in several charges being thrown out. Chris Hansen also recently aired (on a follow-up show) a segment about a Minnesota 18 year old communicating with a 15 year old decoy, something that isn’t illegal in the state due to their proximity in age.

Yes, the show stopped bad people. But the show (and Chris Hansen) absolutely prioritized exploitative scandal over legal precedent. The movie highlights that.

Agreed to a point, its not perfect and for sure some thing could be handled better but better then the nothing we are doing now with the Epstein list. Like even one of these sick people behind bars is worth a lot so they can't do more harm

Also pointing out how weird it is to make a movie about someone alive and not talking to them, for example Priscilla the A24 Movie is based on Priscilla Presley's book had her as a major part of the movie

I mean… you’re comparing this to the Epstein list which, while similar, is also vastly different.

Also, like, did Aaron Sorkin talk to Zuckerberg about The Social Network? It’s more common than you think for highly stylized biopics to not involve the subjects.

Wait, are you suggesting Adam McKay didn’t consult with Dick Cheney while making Vice?

Look, the lack of consultation was maybe the least of that movie's problems

they don’t need to listen to every thing he did but not bad to get his perspective

Zuck is a proven lair, he always says what he is doing isn’t hurting people then a study showing he is hiding the truth. Also social network isn’t going for 100 percent the truth, it was written with a perspective Ian’s honestly they made him look better then I bet in real life, where he seems in any interaction to be a robot

Chris was going more good then most, putting away as many sick people as he did, no police officer or judge has a record of getting every bad person

Anyway my two cents, the show wasn’t perfect but did more good than most. Putting away any of these guys is an achievement

Digger is 1000% going to be incredibly divisive. That said, I personally thought it was brilliant!!! It's the most interesting and most unexpected movie of the year. Riz Ahmed (Who might be the best out of the cast), John Goodman, Jesse Plemons, and Tom Cruise (at his best in years) are superb. The cinematography by Emmanuel Lubezk, the production design by Dennis Gassner and Richard L. Johnson, and the score by Cosmo Sheldrake are exceptional. The only real complaint is this isn’t as laugh-out-loud funny as you might expect (John Goodman has the funniest line in the entire movie, though). A multi-layered, meaningful, and poignant commentary on the current climate crisis, the powers that be whom are responsible, and the importance of art. A wild, insane, bat-sh!t ride. It's currently my #1 movie of 2026. DIG IT!!!!

Disney’s Walden Says She Would Be Interested in Buying ‘Bluey’ | Company Business News

Dana Walden, the president and chief creative officer of Walt Disney Co., said she “would offer a lot of money,” to Joe Brumm, the creator of the company’s popular Bluey TV series, if the opportunity ever arose to buy the intellectual property.

No....no no no

Bluey is amazing

Like its underrated because many won't watch it because its for "little kids" but its better then most shows on TV right now

Disney will make it for babies if they get it, while right now its a perfect show for adults and kids
