Ghosts of Tsushima (Movie)

Sony is continuing to translate their games into movies/series with one of the best games of 2020, Ghosts of Tsushima. John Wick Director Chad Stahalski will direct.

Officially highly anticipating this movie after seeing what was done with TLOU. A huge part of this game was the sword combat and I think Chad Stahelski is the perfect guy to be on this project. My main concern is the guy writing this movie has very little experience on big projects.

I'm really curious how they translate it, and how they'll handle accessibility and bilingualability.

Prey did this masterfully with an alternative dub; and I have to think Sony would be nuts if they aren't considering to have an alternative Japanese dub for the sake of this film.

Not how much influence Sony has, but how much influence the actual creators of the game have.

I have to think the cast will be similar to that of which the game portrays, which is Japanese/East Asian. It's a Hollywood production, but that doesn't mean it can't be respectful. As @AlexanderMBush pointed out, 20th Century proved that with Prey. I really hope Sony doesn't screw this up like they did with Uncharted. Uncharted is a perfect example of a film where the writer of the game that they adapted (They pretty much adapted Uncharted 4, so Naughty Dog President Neil Druckmann should've been involved closely).

Hopefully Sony returns to Uncharted some day in the form of a fun action series that's more faithful to the games.
