Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.
From Deadline:

This was one of a few interesting tid-bits that CEO Jon Feltheimer dropped in his conference call with analysts this morning. The studio’s been “approached in two territories about potential theme park opportunities” for the action film franchise, he says. “We’re pursuing them.” The company has no additional info.
Separately, Feltheimer says that a major cable operator is about to sell downloads of movies to consumers “in a short period of time.” When that happens the electronic sell-through business “is really going to open up.”
The CEO also says that we may see some changes soon at FEARnet, the VOD and broadband horror movie and TV outlet it co-owns with Sony and Comcast. The partners “continue to be mystified that FEARnet isn’t being picked up by more” pay TV companies, Feltheimer says. “We’re trying to figure out how to make FEARnet a more important part of our business or some other way to deliver value, so stay tuned.”

This has to be Universal right? It adds up.

In my personal opinion, this is a terrible idea. I loved the books, and the first film was pretty good, but a theme park attraction would be the complete opposite of the point. And who would want to go on a ride admittedly interesting creatures and styles but the point and land isn't really anything fantastical?

People saw the Potter money. They're hunting for a hit. Won't happen.

Personally I'm going for the Katniss Character Buffet!

I think the day we get a Hunger Games Attraction is the day we get a Twilight attraction. As some have already said, the books are great and the film is good but the world that the story is set in isn't really something you can make a ride out of. But, because the Hunger Games, in my opinion, is more interesting than Twilight and due to how Sci-Fi the film is, I wouldn't be surprised if any theme park sees some sort of exhibit similar to the Potter one. There are many costumes and weapons and such used in the books and are sure to make appearances in the films so, if themed correctly, could fit in some theme park but not taking up something major...If anything, it'll be traveling around the world, like the Potter exhibit which is currently in Japan.

How would this work? Would the vehicle have to spin at all times to recreate the shaky cam?

It's fair to discuss considering the link the OP put up. But I agree that this is super unlikely. I guess it would be fun to speculate a Hunger Games show in place of Fear Factor but I agree that the concept is too dark and complex to truly work as a successful theme park attraction. Maybe if Universal still was interested in exhibits like the Lucy Tribute then a Hunger Games-type museum would work (a la the exit to DHS' Backlot Tour) but Universal has kind of lost the studio movie-making vibe it had.

the only way they could recreate that awful shaky cam would be with a Hunger Games TeaCups ride lol
