Invasion: Alien Abduction (HHN 35)

Lots of people enjoyed this house in my group for the effects.

I thought that the alien outfits were gonna look like funny pajamas, but it really didn't for me. it's so chaotic that I didn't really notice.

Conflicted. Scare-wise, I feel the house is definitely on the weaker side mainly because the costumes' more (IMO) campy look clash with the tone of the house, because everything else in here is perfect. Story, atmosphere, visuals and sound-wise, this is up there as one of the most horrific and disturbing houses I've seen in my now 11 years of going.

145 am we got a run with no one else in house. Scare actors on their game and I came out hoarse! Chaotic and my fave of night just because of that

This house didn’t work for me.

The masks weren’t typical gray aliens with almond black eyes and small mouths, they were reused demon masks from previous houses with the horns shaved off plus bulk pajamas from an off-season Halloween Adventure liquidation sale.

Either the horror of the house comes from the innocuous cute aliens and their horrifying abduction technology *or* the ships and technology are wonder-inducing, making you let your guard down then the horrible bloodthirsty aliens pounce on you.

The juxtaposition is needed to make this house work. It’s not present.

This is one of the most divisive houses I think I've seen on here!

For me, the house worked really well. It's very effects heavy, but i think it was all executed great and really sold the effect of an active alien invasion/Abduction.

I love the farmer alien abduction theme so I really enjoyed this house. It was more intense than I expected but that didn't bother me.

This house was very cast/timing dependent for me, and a so-so run can hurt it since this one feels like the shortest house at the event.

But if you're able to catch all the different mechanical gags of bodies getting snatched up and an aggro cast, this is a nasty, vicious little house! I also agree with @HHN Maddux that this house gets very disturbing with probably the gnarliest shadow projections in the event this year, so I do feel they honestly pulled off the terrifying aspect of the abduction. These greys are not nice nor delicate whatsoever.

My parents and I also had a very memorable run through on Saturday as we were just about to go into the house when a brief monsoon just dumped on everyone, and with everyone being soaked, we all had a chaotic run with a great cast that took advantage of it!
