Netflix's Pinocchio

Netflix Originals, has officially announced that Guillermo Del Toro, the writer and director to iconic films such as Hellboy; Pan's Labyrinth; and The Shape of Water, will be writing, producing, and helming a Stop Motion produced film, based off of the iconic fable: Pinocchio.

The film will be set in the 1930's, as production will begin on the telling of this classic tale, in the fall.

Patrick McHale (Over The Garden Wall) will Co-Write as Mark Gustafson (Fantastic Mr. Fox) will Co-Direct the film; as the film will be done with The Jim Henson Company & Soundmachine; as Mackinnon and Saunders (Corpse Bride) will be making the puppet's.

For a honestly fascinating look on what a *good* boy in Fascist Italy does; alongside embodying the story of Pinocchio as before...man does this story have a stupid amount of wit, fun, and heart.
