New Disney Water Park

Hi All,

Does anything think or know of any news whether Disney will develop & build a new water park in the coming years?

Surely its time for a new one or something new for a 5th Park!?

I was thinking about ideas - what about something called the 'Seven Seas' with various areas of the parks reflecting & showcasing areas of the world (similar to EPCOT).

The Dead Sea - where there is a way of a flotation system.. etc.. so much scope for a new ground breaking park.
Some that could even have various weather elements too, temp, color of water (or ground)..

Come on Disney, sure you could blow VB literally out of the water!

Any thoughts people?

Neither park has consistently hit capacity in a while. Despite this, VB just opened, and Margaritaville and (AFAIK) Great Wolf Lodge still on the way. Seems like the market has hit peak water park, if not oversaturated (pardon the pun). Agreed the focus should be on plussing the existing parks to better compete with the new guys.

Orlando is "Water Parked" out and with more tourist going to the coast from the city....yeah don't see any new water parks happening by any of the big 3.

You MAY still get a fun spot water park expansion but they cater to an entirely different crowd. Thats about it though.

Maybe in 5-10 years.

How would they "literally" blow VB out of the water?

Water coasters, enclosed park for weather reasons, etc.

Also to add some fuel here, VB has been attracting significantly more guests than the WDW water parks per day. "We did every water slide in 3 hours!" well yes because 5,000 unique guests entered that park that day.

I can see Disney having to do a massive rebuild and possible re theme of Blizzard Beach. There are some significant issues with infrastructure in both parks and BB seems to have it the worst.

That would be figuratively blowing them out of the water.
