New Park Logo

In the updated park hours graphic for today on the official Universal Orlando Twitter account, they have a new logo for Universal Studios Florida, updated to align with the current studio logo and matching the new one they revealed a few months ago at Universal Studios Hollywood:

I like it. Nothing too drastic, but it's a nice, clean, modern refresh of the old logo. And of course, now it matches the others.

I was kind of wondering if they were going to refresh the Islands of Adventure logo at the same time.

The logo for the resort as a whole changed, but this one is specifically for USF.

Exactly. A year ago the logo changed for the whole Universal Orlando Resort complex:

And now the logo for just the Universal Studios Florida park has changed:

This is to align with the new logo they introduced for the 100th anniversary of the Universal movie studio back in 2012 and the subsequent changes to the other park logos:

It's not a bad change either. I liked the old one, but this one is much cleaner.

As a graphic designer, I like it. It works at a small size, some enhanced details, and the typography looks far sharper in all gold opposed to the red gradient in the older one.

I think this is a very valid question. These logos so far are kind of an evolutionary step forward but I'm not sure if they would modernise the IOA logo or just go in a completely different and new direction.
