Here's an article about the hotel on Vineland (squeezed in between the mini shopping center and the McDonalds and Gas Station) at the Kirkman/Vineland across the street from the back of Portofino Bay)

They wanted it to be 95 feet high (10 story), but Universal and the condo owners behind it got it pushed down to 75 feet or so (8). Either way I think is a horrible spot for a hotel, but whatever.

Wow, that's a horrible spot, but I can see why they want to build there. It's interesting how there is as much development at the Universal end of I-Drive as there is at the Disney end now days. It shows how the crowds are shifting. Disney is still the king, but Universal is taking more market share each year.
