I never thought they would keep the dueling element to begin with, at least not as 2 separate tracks; "möbius loop" like Twisted Colossus sure. Depending on the layout, they could still set something like this up for all we know (like Twisted Colossus). Lets be realistic though. It's more expensive to run 2 coasters than one in terms of maintenance and staffing. Them not moving forward with a 2 station dueling coaster with this is a smart move at least in terms of that. You could certainly guarantee on slow days they would have run one side if they felt the need to cut back on staffing which would not make the ride the same. Depending on the layout, they could still set something like this up for all we know (like Twisted Colossus).

By the sounds of it there will only be one lift hill.

But, it will be absolutely massive.

Idk how to feel about this.. hmmm
Unfortunately the capacity was terrible when it dueled...The line would move at a crawl...Sometimes you would sit and wait for the other side to be ready for dispatch

Granted, Busch doesn't see the numbers Universal and Disney see, but the wait was still significant enough to be a problem

Gwazi was that much cooler when it dueled though

Didn't they only run two cars at a time? I remember it vaguely (rode it in 1999) but the lines weren't too bad because it was September. Trying to figure out why the lines would have moved so slowly.

They ran four normally...But the problem as well was that they had to check the buckles, then they had to lower the lapbar and check that....Then if the other car was ready to go they would dispatch, if not it would wait

And there was no fancy weight calculation like 0n DD...So it had to dispatch at the same time or it wouldn't duel haha

If we get any signs of unusually large footers being constructed for a steel truss structure then this rumor is most likely true.

Yeah, they were never really great with dispatch times, at least the times I’ve went.

Been a coaster entusiast for a decade and never heard anyone say fan curve before, always a first though!

Cool! The name originated with wooden coasters that used steel cables to provide additional support to the structure, which looks like the shape of a fan.

More modern wooden coasters also share these characteristics, but as shown on the GCI below, the "fan" is made of wood.

Two things of note:
  1. They're clearing the middle of the structure for something. A 212-foot lift hill, perhaps?
  2. First Drop, which was the first outlet to report the hyper-hybrid Gwazi rumor, also said that Untamed will have five inversions. Apparently, that's been confirmed by the park that is building Untamed. So the rumor might be true after all.
