Welp, that's what I get for doomscrolling on Insta. Just saw the new stunt scare they have for this house. I'm sorry it got spoiled but man it looked cool!

I gotta stay off of socials until Saturday.

This is a breathtaking house. One of the best Universal has ever done.

This is my second favorite house of the year.....like FNAF last year this one makes you feel like youve entered the movie of the IP you are in

Its just very theatrical and can't wait to see it again tonight

Genuinely jealous of those who are going to the event this year. It feels like one of the biggest leaps Universal has ever done for the sake of scales of a house in Hollywood in lighting; technology; and acting ensemble.

Excited to see how the casts evolve for this one specifcially.

Heard that the sets are taller this year and looked more like something from Orlando. Can anyone who went confirm?

its not 100% taller scenes, but theres definitely 2 or 3 that are much taller than the previous houses at this location, this is the first time they've actually fully utilized the 2nd floor bones of TWDA to add scale and it really works.
Between that and having queue entertainment and themeing thats not just videos projected on a wall really makes me wonder what the heck theyve been doing with this venue the last 5 years.

Sinners AP tour is no photo's/just a heads up and someone who went said it was not lights on. It was dark with show lights on still

also one scare actor at the end like normal

Not quite sure where to ask this so I'll ask here; for anyone who did the AP lights on walkthrough... what exactly did that entail? I heard that it was just a maze walkthrough not really a tour; nor was it really "lights on". Just wanna clear my confusion

That's really a shame that it's not a true "Lights-on" tour of the house. Glad I didn't waste me time reserving then. This is one of the few houses I really want a legit lights-on tour of.

I just did the AP one for today. I think it was lights on, cause anything that was meant to be pitch black or dim definitely didn't look like the videos I saw on YouTube.

Very glad I didn't try to go at my own pace and just followed those in front of me, cause I didn't read that there was one scare actor in the final outdoor scene before the exit passage. Thankfully wasn't the scare actor's target, and the scare cue wasn't too loud either, and the guys in front who did get scared had hilarious reactions. I see whatever scent was in that area was still on though.

How common are lone scare actors in the AP/lights on walk-throughs anyway? Fallout didn't have one when I went through the AP walk-through for it last year. It was only thanks to prior foresight I got last year that I kept my guard up.

I think this is the first time they've had an actor that wasn't just someone operating a puppet, there was a death angel puppet in Quiet Place and the yao guai puppet in Fallout.

Ohhh, I didn't catch how the Fallout puppet was in use. I just thought the scare cue played in intervals and there was one instance where it seemed like the puppet wasn't moving when I passed through.

Reading the forum and online it seems like it just depends who's in charge that day for what "lights on" means.

When I went through the work lights were fully on, including the light entrance queue. Speakers, effects, and even a scent on. But others that describe their experience made it seem like it was just the maze but empty.

Now I just wonder if Unmasking the Horror still has the one scare actor in each house they're doing it for. Not sure if I'll do it myself, but if anyone's already done it, some info on how else it's similar to or different from the AP lights on walkthroughs would be nice.

Watched the walk through from Attractions Magazine and holy crap, this looks spectacular! Really cool use of scale in the house, and the LED eyes effect is absolutely killer.

Also a bummer the tour is not lights on, since this looks like a great house to do so.

Not sure if you saw earliest posts, but it seems it might be YMMV. I have no clue on how much that extends to the ticketed BTS tours.
