Small fire outside Simpsons Ride at Universal Orlando


ORLANDO --

The Simpsons Ride at Universal Orlando opened as scheduled Tuesday after a small fire broke out near the attraction after the park closed Monday night.

Orlando firefighters said they were called to Universal Studios Florida around 10:15 p.m. after the fire started in a lane gutter outside The Simpsons Ride.

Firefighters said the fire was put out quickly, and no one was injured.

Universal Orlando said the ride, which opened in 2008, was not damaged.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
