Just watched this for the 2nd time, and I really dig it. Spree follows Kurt (Joe Keery), a young adult who dreams of social media stardom, and works as a ride share driver for an Uber/Lyft-esque company named Spree. In an attempt to gain more followers or watchers, Kurt decides to go on a killing spree and livestream it, killing anyone who steps foot in his car. The film is really funny, dark, and cool. Joe Keery is magnetic, fantastic, and likable as the increasingly unhinged Kurt. Spree is a harsh commentary on surface culture, and it's told from the pov of cell phone cameras. It feels fresh and inventive. Definitely do not sleep on this flick, it's worth a watch. Has anyone else seen it? If so, what are your thoughts?
