Yup—I think people have talked that this seems to be the ice flower key challenge from Osaka (no Note Block Rock for now).
I don't believe that's a key challenge in Japan, just a minigame on the way to the Ba-Bomb key challenge, same as the casino minigame. Perhaps they'll convert it over to a key challenge as a means of getting people to frequent the area.

Wasn't there talk that the note blocks were also planned to go into the walkable wing of Peach's castle? Makes me wonder if they could pull a similar thing there later on. For that matter, I wonder if they've tweaked the stamp(s) that involve punching every block to account for how one of the areas is inaccessible right now.

Also, not to be that guy, but for future reference, it's Bob-omb :nervous:

People are posting online that the Fire Flower Sipper Cup is available at Power Up Cafe (picture is from Japan....but I can't find an official new report on this yet)

Price is 20 bucks

I've held my tongue on this for a while, but after seeing a tweet about it, I may as well ask something about it:

I'm genuinely wondering if there's other ways they could do this. Since on one hand, yeah it can be odd or immersion breaking when you find out this is how they make the characters talk, but on the other hand, I don't think most guests will notice when they're in the middle of a meet and greet? I certainly didn't until one of my repeat visits in the first few months. Also I feel like GE's isn't much different aside from being less obvious and how there's probably less buttons to press, since the Mario characters have spoken lines for certain things, unlike regular Droid noises. I know that Kylo Ren and the Stormtroopers also say phrases and don't need what controls the Mario characters but the tradeoff is how you can tell they're setting off certain responses with hand signals. Maybe it's just hard to fully conceal this type of thing for walk-around characters.

I digress though, maybe I'm also just starting to get sick of the constant SNW badgering/nitpicking from the account (and how it's accompanied by the pfp of this weird photo of SNW Mario with his eyes nearly shut). I get that there's things they could do better on but anyone feeling that the rate at which they make these kinds of posts is a bit much?

I'm probably gonna mute the account since any actual updates from them are probably just gonna find their way here.

I’m not a parent… but if I was… I’d think that Disney employee was kind of creepy or suspicious if I didn’t know his job was to control R2. Also the employees controlling Mario and Luigi more obviously doesn’t really bother me. We all know it’s not real, and I doubt a child meeting Mario would even notice those team members controlling them.

Edit: about the Disney employee, to me the part that is creepy is how they are just staring at the kids (obvious what the reason is; this CM is doing nothing wrong.) But, I remember the push trash can days, and that was a little obvious being able to notice who was doing its voice, but they weren’t just in the back staring at the kids talking to the trash can lol

It's probably the screen based power up game from Japan. You grab various power ups and hit enemies on screen. You can see it here (start at 11:43)

It would make sense....my only question is where does the Q go for it....the games get pretty insane lines still and this will be a new one

This one isn't a Power Up Band game, so I'm assuming the lines for it won't be too long after the first few days. Same with the Music Blocks after they inevitably come over from Japan. They're just extra stuff for people to do.
