I could've sworn Gunn in talking about the DCU is that he wants to threat things not necessarily like the MCU--but more in the terms of Star Wars. In that not everything *has* to be connected to a larger story, but that it fuels and enrichens the universe at large.

So there would still be potential to build up to a Justice League and something like Infinity War?

Doesn't have to happen inheritedly! The important thing is seemingly for the DCU to establish itself different compared towards that of the MCU, as in being a place for creatives to work on projects based on the material that they're seemingly passionate with.

We will be seeing the interconnectivity happen with Supergirl (which begins production in a few weeks!), Lanterns, and Peacemaker; but it seems we are gonna be going along for the ride as they get their stride back.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here which is 100% fine with me, but i wasnt super excited when this was announced and i continue to not be. I feel like James Gunn said "I'll just put a bunch of comic book accurate stuff in the movie to get the internet to love me". I mean I laughed out loud as soon as i saw Krypto the freakin Superdog LOL. The reactions from people have also been funny to me especially the ones who are now pretending they hated Man of Steel all of a sudden.

I think you lost me here. You were hoping for the comic book movie to not be accurate to the source material? I'm exactly the opposite. When I go see a movie based on a novel, I get mad when they change anything.

I get this. I was pretty pissed off bout the Singer X-men movie. A joke about the costumes?!? Wolvie and Kitty in the original team?!?

I have come to accept that comic movies aren't (and should not be) exact copies. Although Sin City was pretty good, and that was a fun experiment,.

Alan Moore said something about his comics being made into movies. I cannot find the quote but it is, effectively, who cares? If you give poop, read the book.

This hit me hard watching the first episode of "Locke and Key". I ditched the show and devoured every issue of the comic. You should too.

Umm Man of Steel has been critized and divisive since it came out especially among comic fans

i felt the opposite lately
when man of steel came out I remember a lot of hate towards it

but recently very recently I've noticed a lot of love for man if steel that I didn't see back then, I remember so much hate for the ending and the fights. the "dragon Ball z" fights. the bad cgi. the destruction of the city with people in it.
how cold superman was,

I was actually surprised to see people defend man of steel now. I've seen people defend the suit now and defend the fights and defend the actor ( even though he was called cold before)

They had a test screening for this film last night. Be careful there's legit spoilers out there now.

Without spoilers I'm kind of wondering how the test screenings went and if this is shaping up to be a good movie.
