Just some differences that I've noticed. Feel free to contribute.

As always, I'll be using Hollywood as my basis for comparison.

Universal Studios Florida

- Indoor queue

- Reformatted queue video (designed to fit the 16:9 aspect ratio of their new monitors). Content is the same, but they've adopted some different letterboxing.

- Four preshow screens - projection style (like Hollywood)- with no closed captioning.

- Preshow screens use a slightly different aspect ratio (taller). Some preshow video footage has also been edited to format correctly on the screen.

- Kimberley's balcony enters from the left (Hollywood enters from the right)

- Main theater enters through the right, and exits to the left

- Six T-70s with fire effects and some design differences (their heads seem to be more elevated)

- Different uniform for Kimberley.

- Different opening script for Kimberley ("Here at Cyberdyne systems, armed combat has entered the age of robotics...")

- Kimberley also caters to more of a theme park crowd. Feels more "theme park friendly" if that makes sense.

- Sound is noticeably weaker throughout the attraction, and some effects are oddly absent.

- Some sequences are also timed differently than Hollywood. Most noticeably, the T-70s' introduction.

Universal Studios Japan

- Obviously housed in a newer building

- Different facade. More akin to Florida in some respects.

- Kimberley interacts with the audience heavily before the show

- Japanese dubs throughout the entire attraction

- Like Florida and Hollywood, Japan's Terminator used to be sponsored by Panasonic. As Chris reported, they're now sponsored by NEC (a display technologies manufacturer)

- Indoor queue is rather small. Outdoor queue is noticeably pathetic.

- Four preshow screens using the older CRT cube technology with burn in (like Florida and Hollywood in the past)

- Oddly enough, they also use a different "tiling" sequence than Florida or Hollywood.

- Very good audio. Second to Hollywood.

- No guns due to Japanese law.

- ??? (Chris needs to fill in the rest. It's been a few years)

Universal Studios Hollywood

- Different facade

- Outdoor queue

- Tile flooring in the preshow room

- VIC - T-900!

- Closed captioning is always on in the preshow video

- Kimberley appears to cater to a more local crowd. Adds realism. Also has a different uniform.

- Touchscreen panel (Kimberley's control panel in the preshow room) has a different graphic. Florida simply uses a stylized Cyberdyen logo.

- Fantastic audio

- Subtle design differences with our T-70s in comparison to Florida

- Four T-70s (with no fire)

- Theater exits to the right.

That's all I have at the moment. It's been a few years, so feel free to add or correct anything that I currently have.

I'm curious to the differences in uniforms. Do you have some pics to show the differences?

Here are differences in the T-70 unit. Some differences were told to me by Mark Billen, so also credit to him.

T-70 Guns

The gattling gun arm - the rotating tip of the gun is sometimes all silver and sometimes black with just a silver ring.

The guns are different:

Hollywood and Japan double barrel rifle style gun (mounteds cope?):

Unit's guns in Orlando shoot fire. Hollywood and Japan don't shoot fire because of law.

T-70 Head

The "mouth" area (behind the pistons) varies in colour - some are a black/gunmetal colour, whereas others are brass/gold in colour.

The large circle in the temple detail - sometimes it's silver, sometimes it's red.

There's actually also a difference in the neck between the T-70 used in the show and the ones that are used for display purpose. The position of the pistons (attached to the head) vary.

The display unit has the pistons under the head while the show unit has them "behind" the head.

T-70 Chest

I'm not sure if this varies per unit instead of Orlando/Los Angeles/Osaka.

No chest pistons (Orlando)
