Given the ongoing Friday the 13th legal battle, the news that Fede Alvarez is now producing the next Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the fact that WB just lost the rights to A Nightmare On Elm Street, I figured a catch-all thread would be appropriate for this and other developments regarding these franchises..

Sounds like Freddy and Leatherface are fine (pending a legal objection to the former), but Jason is out.

I'm shocked they were able to use Jason for I Like Scary Movies this year..
