Yeah the big wrench here is these are USA trademarks. Do we know how often trademarks are made years in advance of a new land? I feel it's always closer to opening.

The company registering them is America-based so could be them protecting them there first before the Uk trademarks come. Also, it feels like there's no lands being prepped in America (outside of Lost Continent but that seems Pokemon) that would be enough to warrant LOTR. The UK Park is the prime area if these are trademarks for a future land and not the company just trademarking for the sake of trademarking.

*edit* There's also a chance they dropped them in the UK too but they haven't gone through the system yet. But that sounds like hopium .

Would be registered in Class 28 & 41 applicable to theme parks and rides . there are two other listings for this company on that website

Sorry, my point was that, just casually looking at some of the words, they might already be registered in the correct class, so we wouldn't necessarily see new trademarks being registered. for example THE LORD OF THE RINGS has been registered in class 41 since 2006
