Hey everyone, kind of a last ditch hope.

Does anyone know if they still do contests for weddings at USF HHN? We were thinking about having one, and I had some really cool ideas. Talked to the wedding person at Uni and was told it could only be done on a dark night, and the price is pretty much out of my ballpark with limited venues I'm not very fond of.

Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I didn't think so either but honestly never really followed it too much before. I remember them doing it in 2010 and I thought I remembered them doing it with one of icons at the center stage one year a bit before that too. Wishful thinking...

Thanks for the kind words April!

Wedding in Universal Studio's

My Fiance and I are thinking of getting married in the Studio's the first couple of weeks in December.Small affair 12-15 people. Some already have AP's.
Has anyone here done this ?
Was going to contact park when an actual date is chosen.
Was thinking in the Garden of Allah/Park area.(unless raining)

Any Idea's or helpful suggestions welcome.

We're currently going through the same thing ourselves (Sept/Oct) and oddly enough we have the same spectacular name :p.

Here is the info that we have gotten so far in our research. The hotels are separate from the park, and the restaurants can be separate from both like Tchoup Chop does its own thing. It doesn't sound like your guests need a pass to get into the park if you have your wedding at Allah or JP VC; they will be escorted in and out of the park. If the group size is less than 150 people you can't schedule it for more than 45 days out.

This is from an email we received from the person in charge of weddings at universal.

Here are our ceremony and reception locations:

§ Pat O’Brien’s, Universal’s CityWalk (ceremony and receptions up to 80 guests)
§ CityWalk Rising Star (reception only, up to 150 guests)
§ Red Coconut Club, Universal’s CityWalk (reception only, up to 200 guests)
§ Garden of Allah, Universal Studios Florida (ceremony only, up to 40 guests) – reception required
§ Jurassic Park Landing, Islands of Adventure (ceremony only, up to 150 guests) – reception required

CityWalk reception packages range from $15,000.00 + tax and gratuity and up. In-park receptions range from $50,000.00 + tax and gratuity and up. Ceremony Coordination is also available for an additional fee. Receptions are required, and ceremony and receptions must be completed before 4pm. Higher Food and beverage minimums may be required for evening receptions.

I know a couple who was officiated in the park, right by Mel's, where they met and watched a YouTube video of another couple who ended up getting officiated in Wizarding World. If you want the full ceremony prepare to pay a lot of money. Otherwise, it seems that Universal doesn't mind too much and might make reasonable accommodations to help you with your marriage. If you were probably just getting married at the courtyard for Allah they wouldn't mind.
