I don't know if my memory is deceiving me now but back in the mid 90's did you used to go directly under a waterfall on the rapids? I remember getting incredibly wet on most of the water rides there.

The end of the cave had a waterfall up until a few years ago, but that cave has since fell in on itself a few months ago so we'll have to see if there are any new water features when it reopens

With Montu being just three years Kumba's junior, should we be worried about it?

Montu is in far better shape than Kumba, and runs pretty well.

I have a major sweet tooth for '90s B&M inverts, so that's great to hear. I'd go as far to say that RMC hybrid and 90s B&M invert are my favorite coaster "1-2 punch"; those two models go together like chocolate and peanut butter for me.

They’ve canceled all Howl-o-scream Sundays in September…

So, that’s happening.

Raptor, Montu, and Alpengeist all packed a solid punch. Banshee at Kings Island is really good but a step off of those three. Banshee's best trick is how it hits its top speed right before the pretzel twist as it drops into a valley. Raptor was just solid nonstop fun. Montu and Geist are a little more spread out but with great inversions and speed.

Is Jon Vigue out already as the Busch Gardens Tampa president (That just got that job in June?). Hearing it but not seeing much confirmation.

Yes he's out as of yesterday, supposedly SW's president is becoming a regional president over the 2 parks.

Is this a good or bad thing? I've avoided going to Busch Gardens for a while due to all the horrible experiences I've read about online.

Good thing? What has that company done in the last decade that would be any sort of clue that their corporate operation is anything but a dumpster fire? Just more cost cutting… at least the drive between the two isn’t quite as bad after all of the I-4 work.

Yeah....such a rapid drop after In Bev acquired Busch. Then Blackstone disaster years. Hard to believe that Tampa and Sea World were on Universals level less than two decades ago. And BGW lost its identity too. Now it's just another Regional Coaster park. A sad demise.

SWO and BGT used to have a little differentiation between how they operate and what they offer… now they’re pretty much identical. So it makes sense from an operational perspective?

Maybe having one head figure out solutions for both parks instead of two fighting each other would be for the best?

I’ll just be happy if they combine SeaWorld and Busch into a single app.

Does anyone remember the pre Covid rumors (probably even like, pre 2015/2016) that Universal wanted to buy both properties and create transit system between them and the main UOR???? Old days. Was wild.
