Yup and resulted in @Tomfoolery dropping the news.Forgive me if I'm wrong about this, but wasn't the prodding by this thread what lead to us discovering Universal's domain purchases in Britain to begin with?

That’s definitely been brought up in the thread before. That’s my thinking as well. I have wondered if there is some professional courtesy/potential business benefit between partners.Couldn't it be possible that Port Aventura knew about these London plans being a possibility and then hired some people from Disney among other things to make themselves more attractive for Comcast to buy. It seems like one of those situations where no one is going to give them the money they want unless Comcast is at least seriously in the running.
Is this still right?i know UK is next up. Would be interesting as it would compete with PA,,
The picture mentioned back then, I knew it wasn't a figment of my imaginationYep, at the same time on a spanish telegram community they have shared that Page Thompson was seen at PortAventura on the 16 and 17 of this month, they shared a picture of him with the park director but they removed it and also have the option to save pictures disabled, so I couldn't save a copy, but can confirm that I saw it and was him

They did share in the past that different Comcast executives, including Thompson, were visiting the park, but it was disregarded, and you sharing the video about the UK news burned them basically. Just like that DLP insider, that has gained the trust of the french community, when she said that certain executives from DLP were being scouted by Universal as part of a plan related with PortAventura, and now the former Disneyland Paris operations director is about to become the COO of PortAventura.I am being tagged in this a lot on social media.
This is from mid November right?
So not new? Funny the timing of posting it now.

It’s not like they need some domains o land to acquire, if this were true, we would only see the Comcast name on an official announcement from them. But it does feel like you’re cuestioning the credibility of some trusted european insiders, by considering their scoops second-class or something, because, in the end, you’re a trusted voice in the Universal parks community.
And I mean this in the most respectful way possible, I don’t mean to attack anyone, and I have no play in all this, but I’ve been watching both sides and I think that ignoring this won’t help at all.
I dont think this was the first walk through of the park recently either. Which had let me to wonder if Universal was kicking the tires and seeing what their options were.
Different tweets, this one is adding that more Universal executives stayed at the resort at later dates, and is by a different accountI’m not sure if I understand the double post of the same tweet? You just posted it 2 hours ago and it’s being discussed now.
Got it. Thanks! I just edited your original post to provide the full context and deleted the second post. Feel free to edit posts in the future.Different tweets, this one is adding that more Universal executives stayed at the resort at later dates, and is by a different account
I’m not here to defend anyone, nor to try to convince you about anything, what I was saying is that that’s how it feels there.I'm getting real tired of reading this thread. How many times are we going to equate expressing healthy skepticism about the implications of meetings and new job titles with "dismissing an entire continent of respected insiders" that "deserve to be heard". If I may perform my own paranoid, unkind reading of some of the posts in this thread, Alicia being randomly tagged in old photos of a meeting from months ago, the sullen and petty tone of some of the posts in this thread, and the consistent claim that she has "ignored" or "dismissed" the PortAventura/European community, strike me less as someone passionately presenting an argument and more like someone refusing to take the L when their desired outcome didn't pan out.
Really feels like this thread just keeps going in circles. We just did this "no one is denying the executives visited" song and dance several weeks ago as pointed out by Alicia and the above quote. We don't have to keep spinning this wheel.I'd circle back to pages 22 and 23 for everyone's takes on that. By no means did anyone doubt the tour happened when it was initially reported and takes were given back then on what it could mean. Whether it leads to something, time shall tell.
"It feels like Alicia is questioning the credibility of European insiders and considers their scoops second class", to paraphrase your words.I’m not here to defend anyone, nor to try to convince you about anything, what I was saying is that that’s how it feels there.
The reality is that something is happening in Europe, Universal has shared that there’s a chance they might build a park in the UK, or they might not, and at the same time, Comcast executives keep visiting PAW for whatever reason. That’s not a L for anyone here, something is in the oven, and if it turns out well, we’ll all win.
Until this PA stuff, I can't ever recall a Euro land continent based so called Universal Insider posting on this site. Only the very reliable UK insiders posted. Who are these guys we never heard from before? And what Universal insider info did they ever release that would give them insider reputations? For all intents and purposes, IU is the only reliable insider info site for Universal NEWS AND RUMORS."It feels like Alicia is questioning the credibility of European insiders and considers their scoops second class", to paraphrase your words.
But you're not trying to convince anyone (?), you're just "presenting an idea."
And it's not a claim about a person, just an ambient feeling.
Sorry, but miss me with that bs.
This was my next question. Not denying they exist, genuinely asking. I don't follow European theme park rumors for the most part, so I'm out of the loop other than what has been posted here.Until this PA stuff, I can't ever recall a Euro land continent based so called Universal Insider posting on this site.
