yep. I hate it bc last year I took my 11 year old daughter for the first time. She loved it of course, but it being my 17th HHN I was kinda disappointed. Not so much in the houses but the SZ's and the ambience of it was not what it used to be just a few years ago.

Honestly I know last year was a weird year but idk. I personally loved it. I definitely think it was a little flawed (specifically the theming and scarezones) but it's way overhated. We've had worst years people. 2022 had great theming but the originals that year outside of DMP, Bugs and Chupacabras were really weak. I also loved Weeknd but the other IPs weren't that great that year either. At least last year the quality with the IP houses were top notch.

I don't know if "worst" is the correct term.
maybe "equally" bad years. I didn't attend last year, but the theming and streets seem really bas overall.

it's probably much better than hos or SeaWorld. but compared to itself, it had a lot of people disappointed

I preferred 2022 to 2024, but I agree it's definitely overhated.

Giving my thought on something,

10 houses; 4 scarezones (ditch the Front Gate scarezone) and 2 live entertainment offerings feels like a good element. I think the big thing is on reducing the scarezone count. Focusing more intently on New York, San Fran, Central Park and Hollywood would be nice to see.

2022 definitely had better scarezones and theming I'll give you that. The Halloween vibes were immaculate. Just wish they had put as much effort like that into the original houses. Spirits of the Coven, Hellblock and Descendants of Destruction were all pretty forgettable. The IP houses weren't bad though. Everything besides Weeknd just didn't stand out to me much.

Yeah, while I agree that the zones and ~vibes~ were suboptimal, the houses were banging. I had a great time last year.

I may be out of line here just a bit - but I don't think people who didn't attend a specific year can comment on the quality of that year lol

I would even go as far to say that I think the quality of the IP houses last year were better than that of the IP houses from 32. 32 had strong IPs but the actual houses themselves weren't masterpieces in Orlando. Insidious The Further, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, A Quiet Place and Eternal Bloodlines >>>>>>>> ST4, Chucky Ultimate Kill Count, TLoU (though the Orlando versions of this and AQP are basically tied for me, I have very similar issues with both houses) and Unmasked. But that's sorta a hot take on my end lol.

I actually loved Hellblock, but mostly because of the hotel entrance. I was able to skip S&S, no lines at front gate. 1 time I headed right to Weekend and hit it after S&S was done and I had a solo run thru the house, the entire queue was empty.

Okay, I think we've drifted pretty far from HHN 34 speculation. Let's try to get back on topic.

Universal's plan is going extremely well, because there's next to nothing to speculate on!

I honestly love that there is no spec at the moment. More surprises to be had later.

Hopefully we get something extremely out of left field.

Hi guys  As you'll see from my history - looooong time fan of this forum but a rare poster, so I apologise if I missed something but jumping in to see about that very interesting rumour/musing that Insidious has lived to see another day...any more info on this?

As much as I’d love to see this house again, especially as a bonus 11th house, I fear it may run into the same problem that the American Werewolf in London house had of not being able to catch lightning in a bottle for its 2nd go around. I feel the cast in the insidious house last year is what was able to bring it to GOAT levels last year, and at this point I don’t think its recency bias (or it could be), but it was one of the best and most consistent houses I have ever been through. If they bring it back again and it just doesn't hit the same notes, i’ll be slightly soured on my perspective of the house as a whole.
