I'm staying at Cabana Bay in October!

This may be a silly question but can anyone tell me if the in-room safe is big enough to put an iPad in?

I'm staying just for one night this upcoming Sunday for a quick getaway. Our group has a Cabana reserved for the pool so that should be nice. Looking forward to not having to drive after a night in City Walk.

Got the room for $79. This place is cheap! Better than the employee discount I get at most Starwood hotels

Can't beat it. I changed to a suite in Sept. for only $89 a night with the AP.

Booked a Tower Family Suite for the first weekend of HHN. Had to do the interior walkways, just feels so much nicer.

To those that have stayed there...

Is the parking lot gated via key card access or do you just drive right in?

So the bridge to nowhere.... any updates? We'll be at CB for one night at the end of our trip in October, and were hoping that it would be done. Any chance of this- anyone here seen it lately?

Saw it last weekend. It's getting closer but not done yet, but I would assume by end of Oct it will be done. On Saturday, they were working on it and benches and trashcans were being mounted all throughout the walkway.

Mostly what I saw was bamboo being planted everywhere. I couldn't get a good view of the trees which I'm assuming are on the inside of the path.

My Room card never worked to open gate.I guess because I told them I did not want charging privileges on room keys.
So every time I enter swiped card when it did not open .Had to push button to get entrance.Thought they would not charge me for parking
but they did .

Hockey if you are in a tower they are all pretty much the same I think.

Kevin the gates can be temperamental and a huge pain in the butt. We had to do the same thing to get in/out a few times. More than one trip we've seen the exit gate lifted because they were having problems.

I'll be staying in a standard room early October for 5 nights. Any particular room area/floor I should be requesting? Are there advantages to some locations? Thanks.

We've stayed in family suites in the outdoor section at Thunderbird (first floor outside room no ants, probably nicest room) and the one that starts with C (third floor, middle near elevator facing pool, a little loud from pool music).

Also stayed in a suite in the Continental Tower (6 floor, pool view at the very end of the floor) couldn't see the pool very well at all but I had a decent view of where the water park is rumored to be built. Oddly enough I felt the shelves and appliances were a little shoddy and not put together very well.
