Jurassic Island Skull World of Toon Lagoon? If it's two products, one show building, it has to be some sick creation on the Taco Bell breakfast menu...and I like it!

All he's saying is the Kong ride is connected to the Skull Island movie and NOT the Jackson Kong. I'm not sure why everyone is thinking anything else...

Thank you. Although, I believe it is likely that the Jackson designs will be exactly the same... perhaps WETA all over again.

The outdoor portion sounds very exciting indeed, however, isn't IOA in pretty dire need of indoor attractions that can operate during frequent storms? Does the track ventuing out into the land not cancel that out?

Most rides at Universal Orlando are inside. I think it's great they venture out into the jungle with this ride.
Maybe at Christmas there will be a King Kong Jingle Jungle tour.

Oh...do forgive me. I misread the previous conversation that dealt with Jurassic Park, Kong, and the ride path to be.

I've been predicting all along that Avatar is going to be an absolute SMASH HIT for WDW...especially after dark. I think it's going to be as remarkable to theme park land designs as Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley have been to this point. Even if it opens in phases and is seeing (alleged) budget cuts, I think it's going to make believers out of most (if not all) of us...the nay-sayers included. Personal hunch only. My hopes are that the fact that Disney taking FOR-EV-ER to build it will mean the budget doesn't get slashed too much...but this is TDO we're talking about.

Regarding Kong, I like the fact that the ride track wanders outdoors and through the jungle briefly. Perhaps that will be the peace offering for not getting the JP Jeep Tour ride?

it may be visually stunning but it lacks the major thing Harry Potter and even Cars does to an extent which is sentimental value. As for Kong, Kong has nostalgia. How many people do you see reminisce on the old Kong ride.

Correction: Most rides at Universal Studios are inside. When it rains at Islands of Adventure, all you've got is Spider-Man, Forbidden Journey, Poseidon, and Cat in the Hat.

IoA needs more indoor rides.

Definitely agree, it was pretty miserable that one rainy day at islands oh so long ago trapped inside the river adventure line. That would be much needed

BTW, after reviewing all of the latest photographs from various angles, there has been a slight change in the matrix from that which was previously "imagined". The lower building that juts forward (north) of the long taller building has far less depth as constructed. I worry that an entire curve may have been removed from the ride track inside the building.

I have a hard time believing that, Teebin. The building on the permits matches with the building in the blue prints.

Perhaps we are looking at different things. Where are the permit drawings located?
