Unlike Disney, Universal is going through a bit of a transformation..just without calling it that...I do find the fact that this is taking until 2017 somewhat significant

2017 is only 9 months away.

Agreed, but do you see this opening before May 2017? In reality this ride is a year away. I don't think it is a quick job and I don't think it is a delayed taking forever job. I think it is probably a normal time line for a normal ride. It is a different tech than they have used before, so it won't be Transformers speed, but it won't require as much outside work so it won't be a Kong timeline. However, there is a good bit of demo, so it won't be super speed here. I mean they just finished Demo and started building things, what a month ago? If that.

If my memory serves me correct, Teebin has previously said that much of this attraction has already been worked on and can be installed as soon as the building is completed. Correct me if I'm wrong............If that's the case it could be a quick build.

Looks like the entrance to Fallon is shaping up nicely. Reminds me of the Tonight Show marquis

So considering the façade mounts are also on the other side on top of the new bathroom building, I'm assuming our façade is coming sooner rather than later?

Suppose they're keeping that one wall for the tax difference between renovation and new-build the way Disney did with Little Mermaid?

No, i was talking about property taxes and such.. it costs less to renovate a building than to build a new one. Leave a building partially up (even one wall) and you get charged significantly less. Mermaid reused the one wall at the rear of the 20kluts show building. Fall reuses the two front sides of the building for Twister and Fast/Furious is using the front wall of Disaster.

Funny, I saw that steel yesterday and thought, "what, what, oh, really, oh?" I should have seen it coming, but I didn't. It wasn't obvious to me.

Are they going to be keeping the sound stage look above the new facade? I always did enjoy the studios park aesthetic, although it's evident that it's now out of fashion.
