I'm with those who've found the Kong merchandise underwhelming so far. Hopefully the cart at the exit will have more to offer than the displays in the gift shops, because simple tee shirts, generic-looking plushes, mugs, and shot glasses are not going to cut it for me. I'm also not a huge fan of the primary Kong graphic they're using on the shirts and pins, which is basically the exact same graphic from the teaser poster for the 2005 movie...

I'd like to see some unique designs on this stuff. Maybe that will come eventually.

I was out in Utah last month and at least 3 people I talked to knew about this ride, it was insane to me that they've heard of it.

I was just having this conversation with my friend today on the ride home from Universal. I've had about 3 non-forum ask me about Kong too and my natural reaction is, "How do you know about that?"

But Comcast is on their game and I saw A LOT of Universal Orlando Resort commercials on TV this weekend, each with the quick glimpse of Kong and the "Reign of Kong - Summer 2016" subtitle at the end.

They are also marketing through Instagram. I see kong posts as advertisements.

I just deleted 2 pages of posts that had nothing to do with Kong.

If there is nothing to discuss, there is nothing to discuss. Please don't clog up the thread with different irrelevant conversations.

In other words, walls are still up and no softs. :)

Are they still cycling as they did a few days ago?

I am curious about the scare issue. If it is as scary as some have said it is just in the q, are their chicken exits?

Usually every queue line has regular emergency exits. I think the queue will be scary, but not on the HHN level. Does anyone know as fact if there are actors in the queue?

Speaking about the queue, does anybody know the length? I know Kong is a people eater (Take that how you will) but with it not at full capacity yet and it obviously being the new ride and heading into the busy season, will the queue be long enough for when it opens?

The switchbacks on the access road should be more than enough. But they do have plans for if that isn't enough.

Universal rides usually have like 20-30 mins of indoor queue. So i bet this runs par for the course. I would also wager from what we can see i bet the full queue can prolly hold 90 mins before they would go to the switchbacks on the road between Dudley and kong. Just my guess though based on history and what we can see from pics.

Also, upon entry via the Kong rock the standby line goes to the left - away from temple. It goes all the way over to Toon before the final return walk along the wall/road of the first scene. After that is the entire temple.

Teebin's commented on the queue previously. He said there was a lot of interior queue.

If the queue is done a little like a haunted house, then I just hope it will flow properly; when there is a technical breakdown, I can imagine some might get annoyed.

I can confirm I'm one of those people that has been constantly lost in Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge, bumping into walls the whole way through. I'm hoping the crowds will keep me right for Kong.

Remember that they have built a large extended overflow queue backstage on the service road. I don't know how they got away with blocking part of a road with queue posts as that could also be used by emergency services but it is what it is!
