Kind of a no contest. Frozen being better than Kong would be like the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl.

Not to mention they each are aimed at a totally different demographics. Because of that, you're always going to have people who prefer one over the other, regardless of actual quality. (Not to say either won't be quality rides)

The difference between Red vs. Blue is that the two colors can come together..to be a little purple.

Back to Kong..does anyone think that they may announce the opening next week?

Yeah, especially since the demographic that loves Frozen (little kids & not too adult adults) will be scared to death in the Kong queue, and probably not even make it to the ride.

Seeing Disney moms complain is probably going to be pretty funny..

I've seen a lot of complaints from people who's most intense ride experience is Haunted Mansion. Can't please them all.

On the other hand don't pit Frozen or Kong against each other.

The drop on Frozen is actually more intense than any physical movement in Kong.

Yeah I don't think this is even a possibility. Universal isn't competing with Frozen with Kong. If they were it would be a kids ride.

I still think the hanging body in Haunted Mansion was pretty shocking the first time I seen it as an adult.

I just want a ton of Eighth Wonder branded merch. I mean, if they don't it's just a matter of time before people start making it themselves.

Because it actually has a small drop? Meanwhile, if I'm not mistaken, Kong is utilizing the motion base platforms which don't.. have... that kind of range of movement.

One is also a cheap refurd (refurb+turd) and the other is a grand new build.

So you're one of the "screenz!!!" people. You might want to just stay away from Orlando altogether. Avatar and Star Wars will use them as well.

Just saying, I don't pay an arm and a leg to vacation to Universal Orlando to watch 5 minute video game cutscenes on a wall. Comcast is robbing people blind these days and everyone doesn't even seem to mind all these corners being cut just so long as they're told it's cutting edge new technology. Because ya know a movie theater screen is new technology.

I'm holding off full judgement until I experience the attraction myself, but all that cgi stuff looks super dated and lame. King Kong doesn't even look like a character in the cut scenes, just like some random computer generated gorilla.
