I don't see it being a huge problem until the cost of flights increases, you can make concessions in the level of hotel, and amount of spending money to a point.

I've already read that US guests have found that WDW Packages can be cheaper for them through the UK site though.

Lucky you, I'm already feeling the pinch. Car hire more expensive, hotels more expensive, have you seen the price of next year's park tickets compared to this? It won't be long before it hits fuel then you will see it hitting flights.

We are seeing 20% raises across the board.

In recent times Florida has become affordable for a lot of Brits, the back lash from brexit means Florida Will return to being a once in a life time holiday instead of the annual trip so many have got used too.

This next trip will by my twelfth in recent years and I love Orlando and have made many great friends, but if things carry on as they are (personally I believe we've more to come yet) my regular trips to visit my Florida friends will be a thing of the past.

Sad times for UK Florida fans

I wonder if Universal will offer incentive packages and discounts to the UK to make up some of the difference?

Car hire is about £80 more expensive on a Convertible for 2 weeks, than it was for Dec 2014. I've not looked at park tickets, I aim to renew the Uni Prem Pass, and the WDW ticket price is reduced with Free Dining.

Have been clocking up the Airmiles via work flights, credit card points, energy bill points to airmiles. So trying to avoid next years increases!

Are we sure that's not actually the redneck version of Doctor Who that's shown up?

Still amazes me how big the volcano is when you see the construction workers suspended on the side of the volcano, you get a great view of this in the latest Midway Mayhem video.

Still plenty of slide pieces to be installed too which is good to see:

I was driving Southwest on I Drive from Kirkman to Universal Blvd yesterday. The volcano was right ahead of me plain as day. Can't wait to see that view with the volcano lit up at night.

This is the view I was talking about a page or two ago. That Volcano is going to basically be one giant billboard all the way down that section of I-Drive.

I'm finding it hard to feel your pain. A lower pound is going to benefit me and my plans for a Europe 2018 trip where 5 days will be in London. Now if our Fed would crank the Interest rate up a bit and we get even with the Euro.

And good for you buddy, no sarcasm in my voice, I do mean it. Someone else's loss is often someone else's gain and who am I to begrudge that?

Us Brits have had it good for a while, I remember back in 2008 we were getting over $2 to £1, if you look right back to when the US were at Civil War it shot to $10 to £1. The £ is currently very weak and with so much uncertainty around I do fear it getting weaker still.

Which brings me to the question, I wonder what the rates will be by the time Volcano Bay opens.

See what I did there

From watching water parks being constructed on Web sites like this over the years it seems like it is going to take forever and then boom, it's done. The landscaping that's started will make it look further along quickly

We drove back from MNSSHP to Cabana a few nights ago and saw a full construction team still working/welding at 01:30am. I have no doubt that they want this thing completed way before June.

I think one interesting question for me that I am sure I have never seen on here is how will the inside look in comparison to the outside? Will it have the same sort of finish like the rock work meaning they need to also cover the inside with the huge jigsaw puzzle currently going on the outside? presume they wont just leave it as steel frame? I have really enjoyed watching the progress up to now, I thin the next thing I look forward to the most is seeing the landscaping progress.

I'm genuinely interested how they will handle the stairs inside the volcano. Is it going to be like a borrowed out cave, is there going to be plenty of exposed sides to the volcano to stop people feeling claustrophobic?
