What's with all the wooden floors nowadays? Disney are putting them all in too. Maybe 10 years ago that was in fashion?

Easier to clean, sure, but a lot noisier to walk on.

Easier to clean. Lasts longer than carpet. Cheaper in the long run, maybe even cheaper at installation.

You’d think with most people heading to the parks, they’d be wearing soft shoes but depending on what angle they go with for the rooftop bar, heels on hardwood flooring is going to be a nightmare.

Knowing what how they plan on decorating the rooms and with the amount of concrete being poured, it should hopefully have good sound suppression.

Yeah, wall to wall carpet is filthy no matter how well it is cleaned or steam vac’d. Nothing but dust mites and loose bed bugs creepin’ round. The fabric head boards will cut down on noise.

I like the look of them too.

They're not wood. They're ceramic tiles made to look like wood.

Like how those desks and end tables aren't wood either - particle board with laminate.

It's so cheapo it hurts.

Not cheapo - Value!
Same as Rooms To Go, Cindy and Sophia pitching and you replace it every three years. Keeps things fresh!

Like how the fabric panel isn't even tufted or anything. They just took two 2x4s and a bolt of fabric and called it a day.

Yep and I get to pay $99 - $109 to stay onsite with walking access to VB, walk to boats, early entry and A ROOF BAR!. I am not going to be in the room looking at the decor.

But isn't CB the same price? For a much nicer room?

CBBR will be more and I don't like their rooms either just the convenience and the lazy river.

Same rack rate as CBBR standard rooms, but Aventura will probably be discounted for a while after opening.

CBBR is aimed more towards families with the suites and nicer is a term i'm not sure we can use yet. No one has actually set foot in one of the rooms yet.

I know I'm in the minority but I'm not a fan of wood (or fake wood) floors. I'll stick with Cabana Bay.

Amazed that some folk would choose where to stay based on a floor covering, is it really that much of a deal breaker?

That’s how I see it. For me, a room in Orlando is a place to sleep, shower and occasionally eat. Price and location are the main selling points and these have big ticks beside them.

Add in good shower and quiet at night and those are my requirements as well.

Then why aren't you saving money staying at a nearby hotel and also getting more in terms of amenities, food options, etc...?

If it's just a room why on earth are you at a theme park resort hotel?
