Honestly, I think it's just Universal film synergy - The Mummy is fun imagery (and easy to replicate in the form of this teaser), and the idea is to tease Jurassic World without giving it away.

Best guess - they may be bringing in some Dinos, and decided to do a reveal alongside. Perhaps adding some new M&G opps alongside?

I really do wish we could've gotten a completely new JW ride, had JPRA fully restored with operational effects/tech, just to have a mashup of both halves of the franchise to create a full JP/JW land on the lower lot. Just like I'd rather not see Mummy replaced, but help anchor a full Monsters land. whatever... i'm excited

Wondering if we may see a Megatron situation, where they place wraps of the Indominus Rex's damage across LA alongside a potential opening date announcement.

It’s just a mummy to fit into the backlot “we’re filming a movie” premise they were using.

Longtime lurker, rare poster.

I’m going to guess tomorrow is the opening date announcement. I am also relieved that this thread is no longer about blueprint photos and focusing back on the ride

Just noticed that Universal released the opening date for kung fu panda on April 17 and tomorrow is April 17 when they’re going to release Jurassic World opening date

I think we should all temper our expectations though. Personally, I'm just expecting a date announcement and not pictures or a plot synopsis.

Universal Studios Hollywood has begun the marketing blitz for the much anticipated Jurassic World: The Ride with a brand-new commercial, while also giving us our first look at the Mosasaurus.

Idk, I think the idea of being in an aquarium at the beginning makes sense and I'm all for more interior scenes on that ride.

If anyone thought that scene was going to be anything else, they were setting themselves up for disappointment. I think the rest of the ride should help alleviate the screen freak outs.

Love the commercial. Really pulls you into the gag. I hope that it isn’t promising too much!

"Please no screens! Please no screens! Please no screens!" Universal: "Cool. Here's several MASSIVE screens!" I'm not in the screen-hating camp, just thought it was kind of funny.
