So, shifting back to announcements, obviously we don't know WHEN the next announcement will be (so there's probably no reason to speculate on that). But, if the past 2 years (obviously not including last year) are an indicator, the first 4 house announcements went IP, Original, IP, Original. The year before (27), the 5 IPs were announced one by one, then all 4 originals were announced just weeks before the event started.

I think they're more likely to go with the blueprint of the last 2 years. So I would guess the next announcement is an original. But Puppet Theater is a bit weird because they kind of accidentally announced it, but I don't think they "officially" announced it (I could be wrong). So maybe they do that officially next. Though, I have a sneaky suspicion they may make an Icon announcement - something revolving around Jack being back along with past Icons - and announce the Icons Captured house at the same time. They kind of just did a dual announcement with Dates + Beetlejuice house...I can see them doing it again with Jack Icon + Icons Captured house. That's my best guess as to the next house announcement.

I know we want more after being starved of the horrah for so long - but there really is no pattern of announcements, and I wouldn't even look to the past considering what has transpired over the past year. They could easily announce an IP to drum up more interest immediately.

I am not Zoltar, but if I had to guess about which is next it would probably be Icons captured. Have it released with an Icons revealed video and put the tickets on sale.
Beetlejuice and a nice variety of Icons could carry marketing IMO.

Probably just waiting for the “official” announcement since the release of the video was originally an accident. They probably just reuploaded the video back in Nov and are now pretending it never happened.

Because we mostly know the lineup for this year already, it seems like this thread has and will become more of a "excitement and random HHN thoughts" thread, and I am here for it.

I agree, if Universal is going to have alcohol in a confined space, limiting it is the best solution. I don’t think they’ll do that because, like you said, that’s money they don’t make. But tbf, limiting the amount of drinks someone can buy during HHN has been something I think they should implement even out of COVID season. Lots of groups are able to maintain their alcohol intake and not get drunk but a lot of groups...don’t. And that means actors and parkgoers are less safe. I’m not saying they should ban alcohol altogether cuz drinking is a big part of the event, but it should be limited for the safety and enjoyment of others.

I agree so much. I’ve had a lot of bad encounters with drunk individuals at HHN. It’s not fun having beer accidentally spilt on you while you are just trying to have a fun time at HHN.

They’re still Fear’s servants. The house ends in Fear’s throne room with (the most commonly rumored story being) the icons being burned for eternity. They’re all still trapped in the lantern. They don’t escape. The story feels like a conclusion.

Well that's a dark/bleak sounding ending, I like it! Fear has always felt like a missed opportunity/last-minute kind of Icon, which he technically was due to the original idea being Cindy, so a house making him more of a threat is honestly welcome for the big guy.

I wouldn't overthink it. The canon has always been loose and at times contradictory.

Agreed, just look at the lore/canon of Jack himself that's changed what, three times already?
