HHN 31: Hellblock Horror

I really don’t get the hate of this house. I’m not seeing the same problems that others are.

I spotted a Swamp yeti on the elevated cell on my run.

This house is MUCH improved on the second night. It's now starting to feed like we are being attacked not observers.

Yea I could see this house moving up a lot of rankings once the cast finds their groove. Last night was already 10x better

As HHN Legacy put it: This house is weird, and I love it.

Didn't get to hit on the 2nd night, and I believe I got a cast change on my first run of it, but the energy was definitely there. Creatures I saw included the Yeti, Tooth Fairy (I think?), Invasion aliens, some Sculders, and Hive vampires.

So my takeaway so far is that the Gentlemen must have very good lawyers? :shrug:

The one thing I dig is that they used the tentacle beast screen from Case Files again. I wish there were more “big” or “abstract” creatures hinted at inside the prison instead of 99 percent bipedal human-shaped…

I actually really dug the sets. I'm so happy to hear the actors are starting to find their groove!

Feels exactly like havoc. Literally.
The same concrete walls over and over but I liked it.
It easily could have been a havoc sequel.

Concrete walls and fences everywhere.

The creatures in the house (from what I could tell):

-Hive vampires
-Invasion aliens
-Sculders
-Tooth Fairy
-Zombies
-Yeti

But it feels like a Hollywood House & a Howl-O-Scream house and I mean that in a not good way.

The cast had energy and the masks are pretty nic

The one that feels badly like howl o scream house is spirits of the coven. This one was much better energy wise. Coven was no good

Energy was really strong today. Well, felt strong to me. Very strong scares. Yeti ( or whatever it is) in the cage is very energetic. Really good scared to the people behind me from him. Really great run for me today. A lot of fun.
Some monsters are really going for it. I really liked it today

I would really love to see this return in the future as a day 1-planned house, cause there really is a ton of potential with the idea.

My run was excellent too. Pretty aggressive. Fast. Much more stronger than dead man's pier or spirits of the coven. Both of those are slower. (Spirits the second time felt worse than the first time actually ) this one was the best of the ones I did Sunday including chupacabra.( But chupacabra had some pretty strong actors too)

Well, it was nice to dream.

I gave it four shots. Never found its rhythm. Slow, unenthusiastic performers, save a few who gave it a good effort. Part of the problem is it’s a small cast, so hard to convince me it’s this chaotic prison. Sets were too big and open for the slight number of actors.
