For those of you who are old enough to enjoy a beverage or two at HHN what's your favorite watering holes, drinks, etc. at the event.

Same as any other day at the park ... Finnegans. Best bartenders in Orlando.

Finn's is AWESOME. Feel a little bitter sweet about their draft switch. Granted, Magner's is a nice change of pace to the typical Strongbow.

A lot of people on Nightmares were saying that Cigarz and Fat Tuesday's were there pre and post go to spots. I can completely see how these places are good pre/post bars. Cigarz is so cheap and Fat Tuesday's is awesome with their $1 extra shots.

Agreed! Jim is the best!

Other than that I try to avoid any of their special drinks that are available at every stand as they are usually extremely weak. Every now and then a stand will have Jager shots and I'm not one to pass up one of those.

I'm also not one to pass up those hot shot girls either. They get me every time.

Hard--nay, impossible--to beat the prices at Cigarz, but if you aren't a Team Member in there every day, or at least with a TM, I've found service to be surly at best, nonexistent at worst.

I am a fan of Fat Tuesdays, and the new satellite location on the waterfront seems ideal for a pregame frozen cocktail

I've never had issues with Cigarz...guess that's helped me. It's pretty much the employee bar.

It never really helped me much back in 2007 and 2008 but now that I'm 21 I wish they still had those big bars on trucks that they used to park in the Boneyard.

Six dollar draft beers... what a racket! Just about as bad as sporting events.

When they're charging $90 for an Express Pass, a $6 beer doesn't sound all that bad. Especially since it's 20oz. No one's forcing you to buy it.

No one said they were, doesn't mean I have to like the only game in town either.

There's a reason why Ale House is the place of choice afterwards and not Citywalk.

Funny how I've had beers there that have cost $6 as well. Universals drink prices are far from bad and are pretty much on point for what you'd expect at a major theme park.

I think the beers at Finn's are 16oz. Don't quote me on that though.

Ale House has good drink and beer prices. $5 for Capt and a Mixer double and $6 Pitchers!

They are 16 oz--I think the regular price is also a bit less than $6, like $5, maybe $5.50. Honestly, tho, I can't remember the last time I bought one outside of Happy Hour. (The fact there is a Happy Hour at the theme park bars = one more reason Universal > WDW for locals.)

If people aren't smart enough to pregame or sneak their own liquids in then I feel no sympathy for their wallets.

OK, just an opinion (that is what we are here for, right?), but one of the reasons I didn't attend in 2009 and haven't enjoyed myself as much as I did back in the good, old 90s is the HUGE, VAST, SNOOKI-SIZED consumption of alcohol:cheers: at HHNs.

Most of the folks who drink aren't drinking to enjoy an adult beverage, but to lose their inhibitions and act like arses. That's not something I like, and I think UNI largely looks the other way because I can only imagine how much they make on booze sales during the event.

That said, I've noticed a BIG decline in people buying on the nights I've gone the past two years that I can only attribute to the economy. The ability to run up an $80 individual tab while getting blitzed out of of your mind is much tougher when you aren't working or worried about losing the car/house.

I know they are 'dry' in Hollywood. I wonder if it would be better here too.

Sorta like how I much prefer smokeless casinos.
