All these closures are crazy, but nothing I'm bummed about other than nostalgia for "hey, I've walked past there a million times but never actually been inside." And honestly, I'm not surprised -- with the Olympics three years out, purging a lot of potentially dead weight from CityWalk and revitalizing it as best they can to entice the swell of people on the horizon just seems like a logical goal that goes hand in hand with the next phase of the park's life with F&F and whatever hugely marketable project may arise for 2028.
I have this feeling the escape rooms are going to be a flop, but it's at least a step in a right direction in terms of trying to return CityWalk to a more well-rounded district, and I can imagine if they plop a Korean BBQ place in there somewhere it'd be far more lucrative than skydiving in a tube or overpriced crepes.
