Replacing Happily Ever After starting on October 1st. I noticed there was no thread so I just figured i'd start one.

Last time I was at Disney they were just testing Happily Ever After, and I saw one of the final weeks of Wishes. Doesn’t feel long ago so it’s crazy to think this show is leaving so fast. Was it not very good?

This new show looks GREAT however.

I'm a fan of HEA!

I remember thinking when HEA was announced that they wouldn't end up doing a 50th fireworks show because of it. Wishes had been around for almost 15 years.

Now we just need a new nighttime parade.

I would guess similarly.

I’m assuming this is a temporary replacement that will only be shown during the 50th celebration and HEA will return after.

Happily Ever After is actually incredibly popular. So much so that it was rumored there would be no new show for the 50th anniversary for quite a bit because it wasn’t deemed to be worth it.

Wait, what?…I…I can’t even comprehend this. That show is what? 4 years old and they are going to kill it?! That makes ZERO sense, especially since it is an incredible show!

I suspect the only reason they're axing it completely is because the Main Street projections will be here to stay and Disney doesn't want to have to create new animation for an older show.

I just can’t wrap my mind around Disney spending all that $$ developing HEA to have it only play for 4 years. At that point just run Wishes till the 50th.

But couldn’t it be that after the 50th we get HEA 2.0 with Main Street projections added? And it technically wouldn’t be HEA.

At many Disney parks *cough Disneyland cough* - new fireworks shows are constantly created and rotated. Tokyo has new parades all the time.

This is what should happen, shows should last as long as Wishes. I hope this is the start of MK actually rotating and changing out entertainment more often.

MK actually does a decent job with the holiday specific parades, shows, and fireworks. The other parks…not so much.

I never cared much about MK's fireworks for whatever reason. But under the "things that make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE" department, this is one of them.

I have to say, I appreciate that they've created an original song for this show, and I think it sounds right in line with past original songs for celebrations and spectaculars.

I was wondering if there would be an early preview of this show like with Harmonious, but apparently tonight will be dark to guests for fireworks completely. However, after park hours they are holding a media preview, so we should get some reactions about this show trickling out later tonight.

UPDATE:
Angela Bassett will be the narrator for this show. Loved her narration in The Imagineering Story.
