Found this at a Vintage store. Curious to find out the history behind it, nothing comes up online for the shirt. Wanting any information about it such as release date, rarity, how much its currently worth etc. Hopefully someone knows a bit more than I do :)

Very cool. I can't give any concrete answers but they were still selling DD merch pretty similar to that shirt right up to 2009. The Universal logo in yours looks pretty old so maybe 1999-2003 ish? For rarity I'd say probably pretty rare now; for value probably not a lot!

I still have this at home somewhere. Definitely a 'nice to have' even though no one over the age of 15 would ever wear such a thing, lol. Good memories though.

Never heard of this before. OG Lost Continent is so cool, if it had a dark ride it would’ve been one of the best theme park lands when it opened. Excited for Zelda or whatever the replacement will be, but I’m also sad I never got to experience the original land

The Merlin Woods section absolutely was one of the best themed areas, but giving it up to Potter saved Universal Parks from being spun off or sold off and drained by private equity (like SeaWorld Parks)

It was definitely a great experience back then. A dark ride would've been nice but Poseidon's Fury was a fantastic walk-through attraction on its own. I was lucky to catch Merlyn when they had him come out a few times.

I'm still waiting for the day Universal makes me feel the way I did walking up to this:

I think the view after walking through the portal for HTTYD might actually do it. We'll see!

Fully agreed, while I did love Merlin Woods, there's no doubt in my mind that it truly was a necessary sacrifice considering the state of the parks at the time. Because without Potter which led to the purchase by Comcast*, I truly don't think the parks would be where they are right now.

* = A while back, I remember there was a thread of Comcasts acquisition, and that was a very unique time capsule as a lot of folks had a very negative reaction to the news. Little did we know at the time, that would be one of the best things to happen for the parks.

The magic of the original Poseidon’s finale is still one of the purest “wow” moments I’ve ever experienced. The downfall started when they dropped that.

Well there's certainly reason to be wary of theme park acquisitions as other parks weren't so lucky with new ownership but you're right, it turned out very well. Imagine where things might be had Comcast acquired Disney instead like originally planned.
