I still maintain that F&F will open in early 2025 based on everything I’ve heard. However, I’m willing to bet that the coaster will start to preview in late 24.

Probably right, feels like there is a lot of ground work still to be done.

I really can't wait for the skyline to change (more than it already has)

You do know 2024 is less than 60 days away and all that has been done is land clearing. Even traditional theme parks would have had footers and possibly track up by now for a march/april opening.

I better start my Holiday shopping ;)
Isn't it closer to 90 days away?

Traditional theme parks don't always have to deal with such an awkward location though, or demo 2 stages first.

The thinking is that this would be a very late 24 or early 25 opening.

I suspect it'll be another Nintendo.

Ideally they want this open for November 2024, which means it'll be ready to soft in January 2025.

@Freakenstein wasn't insinuating "early '24" as when he expects the ride to be done/open; he was responding to the question of when to expect a first piece of track to go up, hence "early '24" as his bet. Considering that's a window of 3 months to, say, 7 or 8 months away, that's a pretty reasonable guess.

This is gonna terrify me.

I don’t like heights. Tower of Terror, Everest, HRRR, Hulk, all don’t bother me cause I love going down, not up. That part will never not be scary.

This ride is being built on a mountain essentially. The heights never stop!

I get it, but that's exactly why I think it's going to be awesome!

Not to mention the controlled spinning...

There's a number of our Kennywood Park coasters that go down long deep ravines like that, and that's what makes them fun, entertaining and a bit scary. Way better than flat parking lot coasters. You guys will love this coaster, no doubt.

I have lost count on how many coasters I have ridden, and yet Jackrabbit is still one of my top ten coasters.

I wonder if this coaster will have any moments of ejector airtime.

When Mark @UK-Trigg stayed with us for the first part of his month tour of US Theme Parks (See IU's "An Epic Adventure-A Live & Interactive Trip Report" on the IU Vacation thread. Already has 66K views), he said the same about the Jack Rabbit. And that was in relation to a trip to Cedar Point and the other Kennywood coasters that week......And for an old (1927) wooden coaster, it has tons of airtime.......I'll say it again, Universal Hollywood guests are going to love the experience of a steep hillside coaster.
