If this is a clone and they re-use the trams in Disaster, this would be a complete letdown

I may be the only person not worrying about this being a clone. The amount of land that is being used for this suggests otherwise. I'm sure the tram tour footage from Hollywood will probably appear in some form, but it won't be the only part of it. I think this will be more similar to the Kong 360/Skull Island situation.

I would strongly doubt they'd reuse the broken down Disaster trams. They'll probably do something along the lines of Kong, maybe a bit smaller.

Well if it's a clone, it will take a long time for me to experience it, because there's no way I would wait more than 20mins for this. Looking forward to Fallon I guess lol, until then I'll keep hoping for else...

Teebin posted that F&F will be underground and thats the surprise he kept hinting at...if its underground do they plan to put another attraction on top to maximize space?

Huh? I think you're getting things mixed up. It looks like the walkway to the water park will be underground. Nothing to do with Fast & Furious.

If teebin can answer this; will Fast exactly be the same attraction or will it be treated like Skull Island.

As if its the same; I don't see it happening. The entire film in the main theatre is about two minutes, so if you cut the Musion room and place it before you enter the ride vehicles, you cut Three minutes of Hollywoods version.

Now I see where your saying exactly if its what the main theatre was supposed to be for the Hollywood version, then ok; but that doesn't make sense due to San Francisco was mentioned on the original blog before that got taken down.

I think its going to be much larger than the Hollywood edition with two extra minutes of time in the 360 Theatre, with practical effects added and a new film to match the surrounding area of San Francisco.

I never said the musion was cut. The only thing gone will be driving around the Hollywood backlot. Orlando doesn't have one of those. What Orlando will have is photo ops with cars all over the friggin place within the queue... to the point of stupid. Even the exit queue will have cars.

I said if it was cut from the ride portion of Fast and Furious and placed as a form of preshow. Not apart of when you board the vehicles. And also, I'd be stupid to think the driving around the backlot also and I didn't say that either.

I am just trying to express that you might be somewhere right, somewhere wrong. And that I asked in the first place if it'd be a direct copy much like Transformers or if it'd be much like how they treated Kong.

Sounds like Test Track (queue, cars, etc), but worse if it ends up actually being a USH Port of the ride.

So if this is a clone of Hollywood, I guess we're looking at early 2017? It doesn't take two years to build a clone of a tram simulator.

It wasn't cut from the ride portion. It's Hollywood after boarding. Perhaps they will redub some of the dialog. I doubt they would reshoot any of it as that was an expensive bit of business, and would defeat the purpose of porting the ride to Orlando.

I want to just point this out for reference..

Transformers in Hollywood started construction in September 2009 and as people know, it opened May 2012. Then in the case of Orlandos counterpart, that same attraction opened up about ten months after the walls came up for the clone in Late May/Early June of 2012-2013 for soundstage 44 (If I'm wrong there, correct me as I'd love to know).

Taking that into perspective, Fast and Furious started construction by demolishing the Mummy tunnel at Hollywood in September of 2013 and opened in June of this year. Doesn't that seem a little too off for a project that's supposedly a clone if its aimed to open for Late 2017? And I get it, it might be due to the larger demolishment of the left side of San Fran but you got a lot of construction time if your aiming for Late 2017.

Transformers:
Hollywood - 32 Months from Backdraft closing to the Ride Opening.
Orlando - 12/13 Months from Stage 44 Demolishment to Ride Opening.

Fast and Furious:
Hollywood - 22 Months from Mummy Tunnel closure to Opening of Animation.
(Estimated if its still Late 2017) Orlando - 25/27 Months from Disaster closure to Ride Opening.

(These are all estimated and I looked from StudioTour, and other places)

If true, this would be the first time I'm not excited for a new attraction at UOR. It's also the first time I get the feeling that Universal Creative is slightly out-of-touch with what guests want.

I think the circumstances around Transformers were unique and not really indicative of what was built but how and why.

How was round the clock construction (including driving trucks through the open park)

Why was multi part: to build something quickly to provide a large chunk of capacity for the gap before HP-DA opened at the other side of the park (without loosing any existing capacity) and to spend a chunk of the profits from HP so they would be capital improvements in a certain fiscal year.

I just can't imagine why they'd demolish a building for this if it's just going to be mostly like Hollywood's version. Re-purposing the existing building seems like it would be much easier/cost effective.

Yeah I definitely think there's got to be more to this. Even with the popularity of F&F if it's a clone of Hollywood this change is a real downgrade from Disaster let alone losing Beetlejuice in the process.

So you'll board the Orlando tram-like vehicle and immediately stop in front of screens to watch a Musion rave?

I'm skeptical of that. If the plan is to copy everything in the warehouse and transplant it to the "ride" in Orlando...that's gonna be ugly.

I really don't get this, would they really go with something so underwhelming? F&F, granted, I have never seen any of the movies, but this seems to scream thrill ride to me, not just sitting there watching action on a screen.

Ok. I have said what I am going to say and now I am all done. You people have fun questioning and ranting about it. ;)
