I will say though, I hope once F&F opens, that they get rid of the soundstage hub. Might just be a personal thing, but I miss being able to see all of the house portals from the main pathways.

The soundstage hub isn’t bad, it “expands” the parks footprint and makes the park feel less crowded.

What needs to change however is adding gobo lighting and music throughout the pathways to make it really feel a part of the event.

That would be a major improvement - it's just a personal thing lol. I enjoyed walking through the park to each house. Made the night feel a little more spread out rather than banging through 5 houses in a span of what feels like less than an hour (with express)

My feet love not having to troop back and forth to the midway for every house. I also love not tripping to the parade building down that access road that was falling apart. Soundstage hub makes so much sense, big fan, though it feels disjointed this year with ST5 and EDB dumping you out by Jack and then having to either troop through the park again or walk the opposite direction to looop around to do the other.

I'd imagine once F&F coaster is complete next year, they can open up the pathway that connects from Music Plaza Stage to Rockit's former station area. So it'll hopefully reduce that unnecessary walk around BMG/Nickelodeon.

I’m going to have express so I was just going to do the park counter clockwise … based on what I’m reading it seems like Sinners might be my longest wait of the night . What has the average time in express been for Sinners when it’s “at capacity”

The couple of times I've gone through it's been about 20-30 minutes.

On premium scream nights, do they do the shows multiple times? How often if so?

Nightmare Fuel and the lagoon show? It was a normal schedule for the first Premium Scream Night.

One suggestion was to use the framework for Express Now. So you only have a scanned digital pass. So if you don't have a wristband, you wouldn't be allowed access to a house or the event outside of that Express Now pass and easily identifiable if you don't have access via wristband (or you show the pass for the house in question).

Could also have a different colored wristband.

but that's what I mean, you are adding cost.

Different color wristbands -- all colors must be inventoried

Scanners in the non express line? How do they scan this ticket w/o all new equipment, just because they have scanners for Express, I would not assume the have twice the equipment on hand.

When do you stop given out bands?? Do folks need bands all night now instead of just up til 5 PM as it is today?

How do you sweep the area now that it has day guest in there -- what if they get in a queue at 5 PM -- it has a 45 min wait -- when can you sweep the area before the event officially starts?? You'll need to triple the security staff required just to sweep these guest out --

As for stay and scream, assuming you can show up between 2-3 it’s entirely reasonable to expect to be able to do six different houses, provided you do them in this order:

1. Do the 3 2pm houses in any order, potentially repeating them if they are a walk on (Hellraiser has been the only house I’ve seen a walk on before 4pm.). You must complete them and be ready to enter house #4’s line at 4pm (when it opens, but the house won’t open till 5:15 so get comfortable)

2a. Get in line for Sinners at 4:00, after experiencing head to HR Blood’n’guts followed by invasion.

2b. Get in line for Ozzy and experience that, afterwards you have another choice to make:
I. Do Evil Dead Burn followed by Madlands
II. Do Cybergoria followed by Invasion.

I have successfully executed all these plans. You can really be over halfway done before the event begins.

100%. Once you're done the three 2o'clock houses, be ready for either Sinners or Ozzy to open up their queue at 4. Depending on which one you decide to wait it out for until it opens, you'll be able to knock out the smaller houses that open around it in quick succession (HR - Invasion - Cybergoria if you go to Sinners, EDB - Madlands - Cybergoria if you go Ozzy). Either way you end up through 7 houses before/just as the normal admission crowds filter in and only have to wait it out through what should be one longer line (whichever one of Ozzy/Sinners you didn't do) and two lines that should go quicker.

After personally doing Sinners with daytime park admission early screamings, I think I might say queuing up for Ozzy might be the smarter choice. Getting the front of the park done before normal admission enters is probably more beneficial as I would think most guests are just going to pile into the first houses they see/the biggest houses that are closest by, which is going to be Ozzy/Stranger Things and those around them. You'll only be racing to Sinners against guests coming in specifically that are heading directly for that as well as your other early HHN goers that were already in queue for it at 4.

It's honestly pretty crazy smart the houses they decided to open up early and which to hold off on. If they had opened either of Sinners or Ozzy at 2, chances are you could have almost the entire house lineup done by 7.

Of course if we were going for my favorite houses in each category I would love to do Ozzy followed by HR and invasion but that’s not possible, I think I favor Ozzy-Cybergoria-invasion route even though it involves the most walking and carries the biggest risk of missing out on the sixth house by getting there too late. It’s insane that you can feasibly knock out every soundstage house prior to the event starting.

Is the Ozzy line covered? Just trying to work out a plan for next week and want to cover all eventualities if the weather is bad. I’m happy to grab a beer then sit and wait an hour for the house to open but not if I’m going to get soaked and ruin the rest of the night.

Ozzy holds indoors until the soundstage switchbacks fill up, then the front of the line will be moved into the outside queue to make more space in the switchbacks. So if you are toward the front of the line (the first, idk, 400 people?) you run the risk of being outdoors for 20-30 minutes before it opens.

Thank you. I think my play will definitely be head to Ozzy.

It might just be timing. Some characters are exclusive to certain sets of actors and don't appear to have a double. Across 4 visits, I still don't think I've seen every possible character there.

Apologies if this was covered, and I just missed it. I don’t arrive at HHN until 10/16 (counting down the seconds!). I saw some posts on social media about a scavenger hunt: find a tag in the park, take it to the Five and Dime, and exchange it for a keychain. Is this really a thing?

This weekend is the start of what I’d call the “non-HHN/horror” fan season for Halloween. HHN is sort of split into two separate seasons nowadays where the audience is mainly comprised of APs and fans early in the event run and the “normal” general public begins to visit later. You can tell just by the amount of lHHN event shirts being worn less now.

With that said, the houses that open up earlier in the day remain reasonable throughout the night. Hopefully that practice is expanded next year. I think it’s a smart way to reduce crowding overall and continue to sell the event at near capacity crowds.
