So was going to miss it but looks like I might not be missing much but also reviweres are not always right. Most didn't like Deadpool and people loved it, so who knows they aren't always right on films like this

from the YouTube reviews I see, it looked like as if the director didn't like that people idolize his first joker so he's tearing him down in this one or something. or something like that. doubling down on making him a loser or something.

I'm not sure what to think about it.
it's like a movie about how abusive the prison system can be, and also a movie about his mental health. reminded me of Shawshank.
it's kinda sad, felt kinda mean spirited. lady Gaga was great. very nice.
it's interesting but I don't think I could revisit it. it's too negative.

I hated the musical numbers, they were awful. I really hated them because they weren't necessary.

I'm ok with musicals like Sweeney Todd or little shop or Rocky horror or Chicago. but their songs move the plot forward. the songs are part of the story.
these songs for me personally were really annoying and they weren't necessary at all.

This movie is so baffling, I can't wait to see it. Everything I've heard about it seems like it's openly antagonistic to the audience and doesn't really succeed as a musical or more generally as a movie. My inner theater geek is ecstatic at this delicious garbage that has somehow been given a $200M budget haha.

kind of correct on all counts.
spiritually it feels like Halloween ends or matrix resurrections. ( obviously not in story or anything) but in the way they treat the character and the audience.

it felt the same as watching matrix resurrections/Halloween on how the directors were dealing with the properties. (deconstructing of a beloved character. )

In all seriousness, kind of funny to see this when compared to Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme, those had good to great test results (and yet they ended up being shelved). I wonder if this hopefully sheds a light on those two films; and prompts WB to atleast release them somewhat (Be if it's for Max in the case of Batgirl or CVA for Theatrical).

It’s another case of Hollywood saying: if we double, triple or (almost) quadruple the budget of the first film, we should make even more money, right?

Almost always fails, especially when so many people (fans and critics) thought that Joker didn’t necessarily need a sequel…
