Nothing will ever be more disappointing than Uni creating that cool adventure company for Kong, and then never releasing some merch for it, and instead doing their normal hideous black t shirt with a giant logo on it

Something like this would be perfect.

Granted these are probably still too big but oversized left breast prints have fallen into fashion again.

The major key art on the merchandise is certainly a bit of a debatable choice (it’s pretty cartoony).

Still, at least one of those pins is making me contemplate breaking my firm “I only collect pins from attractions I go on” rule.

I remember brainstorming all the possible merchandise items they might come up with, and then being baffled by the very standard, pedestrian stuff they actually released.

I still want an "Eighth Wonder Expedition Company Guide to the Flora and Fauna of Skull Island" booklet!

An "Eighth Wonder Expedition Co." Tan cloth messenger/laptop bag please.

To clarify our little wager:

  1. Just repeat to yourself it's just a game and I should really just relax.
  2. The "winner" of each category will be the closest to the date of the category specified.
    1. If there is a tie on split days (ex: Feb 18, Feb 20, and it opens Feb 19) then Price is Right rules will kick in. A tie on the same day (two choices of Feb 19) then there will be two or more winners.
  3. If a date range is given I have chosen the first date as the bet.
  4. Prizes: I dunno a custom title maybe?
  5. Any other rule changes or decisions will be made by Joe in the fairest manner possible.
  6. See #1 again
I'll throw my hat into the ring.

I get why the parks that *kind* of merch - it sells. I also think they should branch out more and not wait for something to not sell before switching it up. I like KD's Under Armor and Hersheypark's VV merch.

So watching a video from Orlando Informer...and the first half does seem a *little* slow. Hopefully it feels faster on it, I just don't want the first half to be forceless.

It should speed up once it has people/a little weight to it.

Honestly, this ride is the first addition in a long time that doesn’t have a “but”...everything about it seems awesome and its placement in the park only improved its surroundings. Looks better (from a ride and theming perspective) than Hagrid’s IMO.

Can I find a video anywhere of these delicious views?

Also, I'll throw some predictions out there. March 15th for them to open the lagoon area and the bypass bridge. April 2nd for TM previews. April 5th for Guest previews. Grand Opening May 25th, 2021.

EDIT: I'm also glad the theming elements make the raptor paddock look quite large from the ground level.

The bypass bridge and entire courtyard will be used for extended queue. I don’t expect them to be open unless the ride is for the foreseeable future. Due to social distancing they need all the room they can get.

Hagrid is the best ride I've ever been on, so I'm not sure I'd agree overall, but it looks like it will be a great addition
