Riding Lightning Rod
An interesting teaser came out today in Cedar Point, and it could possibly be for a revival of Son of Beast or another new coaster at Kings Island.

Cedar Point has been rolling out ads for other coasters/parks in the Cedar Fair chain, including Hangtime at Knotts Berry Farm and Canada's Wonderland's new dive coaster.

Outpost 5 was the name of the Son of Beast's station. It talks about anti-rollbacks and midcourse breaking systems near the middle of the page. "Number 5 is alive!!" could refer to both Outpost 5 and the fact that SoB was the fifth wooden coaster at KI (Racer counts as two). The building seen in the upper-right hand corner looks like the Beasts station. I also believe that an RMC official was spotted in the park a couple of weeks back.

This could be one of three options:

  • A ground-up RMC, located in Dinosaur's Alive or another area of the park.
  • RMC Racer, as KI officials were spotted checking it out a little while back. That was also explain "Track 2 is no longer in use, and has been permanently abandoned" Racer has two tracks, so they could pull a Twisted Colossus and make it into a single track. Also mentioned in the flyer is the number 6919, which could be how many feet of track both sides cover.
  • This is a low-possibility choice, but this could be yet another Giga teaser. The only number that could refer to this is five, as there's currently four Giga's in the United States.
Your thoughts on this?

Or you know, it could relate to a 2019 Cedar Creek Mine Ride refurbishment that was rumored last year to of happened for the 2018 season; that would've been alongside Steel Vengence for Cedar Point.

You subtract the first 6 by 5 for 1969 (which was the year CCMR opened).

Mason (the city that KI is located in) is mentioned on there as well.
