M&D Ride Derailment

There has been a crash at a theme park in Scotland where the coaster car has derailed and fallen onto another kids ride, there were around 10 people on the ride but no word yet on any injuries although from the pictures it doesn't look good

The ride is called Tsunami and is a inverted coaster by Pinfari.

I guess you could call this my local park. It should have shut down years ago. The place is notorious for being dodgy.

I watched this on the news earlier, the maintenance must have been awful for the whole wheel assembly to detach like that.
HSE needs to get into that park ASAP

Haven't been to that park since a school trip about 15 years ago but even then it was dodgy as hell. This could very well spell the end of the park.

Hopefully everybody is OK in the end.

I hated that coaster just watching the video gives me a headache, gotta be the worst coaster I've ever been on.

The fact this park is closed 'until further notice' could turn into 'closed forever'.

Not sure if you caught it but the report was that the coaster landed on a kiddie ride.

It's been reported that 9 people have remained in hospital overnight with 3 children and 1 adult in a serious condition. Doesn't bode well when one of the witnesses was talking about one of the children having their hand crushed.

This scares me about most "Local Small Amusement Parks" but I hope those families are okay.
