I am sure someone has already explained this, but to what extent can Disney use marvel properties at the parks?... Can they just Use ones NOT at universal ? and if so seems an ironman ( based of movie not comics) attraction should be a no brainier
Domestically, Disney has the rights and usage of MARVEL properties West of the Mississippi River (Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure), while Universal retains the rights and usage of MARVEL properties East of the Mississippi River (Universal Orlando Resort).
This means that the Walt Disney World's chances of a MARVEL attraction are slim if at all possible.
Disney cannot use Marvel characters represented in the park, as well as characters of the same "Family" as those represented in the park. Ant Man is an original Avenger, therefore he's off limits.
When are the rights to the characters up with IOA? perhaps Disney could rework the deal by asking to be able to use characters like iron man or thor and in return garauntee that IOA will be able to keep the rights to the characters that they already have attractions based on when the exisiting contract is up.... It is good deal for both disney gets to use what they already own and universal wont eventually lose something they have sunken hundreds of millons into
