Super hot take: based on Mario and Donkey Kong we should all lower our Zelda expectations to a theme park version of Link’s Crossbow Training and just be surprised if they do better than that.

Eh, if they can make a simple POTC style boat ride off of Zelda, I’ll be happy. I think they need to go for grand, but simple.

That would automatically make it their best ride based on Nintendo.

I’ve played Nintendo games at home for decades. I don’t want their theme park representations hampered by a need to represent gameplay. The only exception would an MiB style Metroid ride. I’d love that.

IIRC, before Zelda for IOA got stuck in development hell, the plan was for a boat ride using Mack Rides rocking boat ride system.

I think they should save that ride system for a Creature from the Black Lagoon ride for EU or (What I prefer but won’t happen) a Jaws revival.

I don't see why the couldn't use same ride system for both Zelda and Black Lagoon. Zelda definitely needs a dark ride of some kind for its anchor E ticket.

I know this was pitched as a joke, but I could honestly see this working if they did some facade upgrade. MSHI is already a city, so it could translate to Oz. There is a book for Wicked, so it would be in line with the park’s theme. Spider-Man could be themed to Oz’s castle, and Storm Force + Doctor Doom could be replaced with a boat ride of sorts.
